One of the coolest lunchboxes ever made and it's cool that you still have it! I still have my Evel Knievel from when I was a kid and it makes it special amongst my small collection.

That Lone Ranger movie lunchbox posted a few pages back instantly takes me back to the 1st grade when I had that.

Just added another to my collection and it is one I have always drooled over, so if you have one and posted pics of it..."thanks a lot" for motivating me to go after this. This might be the best one in my collection, condition-wise.

Almost zero rust. None outside, very little inside and only the tiniest of bits in the expected corners and lips, and no dents anywhere. The colors are vibrant. It looks almost brand new.

This is one of two that I wanted to add to feel I could say in my heart, "Good enough!" All that remains is Planet of the Apes for me to feel like anything else would be "incidental". Not that there aren't others I want, but they would be icing on the cake.

^I REALLY want that Marvel lunch box. I almost stole one when I was a kid. Someone had left it sitting in their backyard along an alley way I rode my bike down a lot, a block or two from my house. It sat there for days. Every time I passed it, I was tempted. But I never caved. Eventually, someone either took it in the house...or another kid stole it!

    Two spring to mind:

The Road Runner and Coyote one, only I had to do a lot of searching to find a pic of the plastic case I had. I never even saw a metal lunch kit until I was an adult; my childhood was mostly a plastic one.

But my favorite one was the Marvel Super-Heroes one, which always had schoolmates coming over to ask who all the other heroes on the kit and thermos were because they only knew the "big names". Nobody knew Hawkeye or Scarlet Witch and hardly anyone I knew read comics. And, again, I had the black plastic one but I can't even find a pic of that online.

The Super Friends lunch box was my first lunch box, bought before I went to kindergarten. It wasn't until about 20 years ago that I looked at it, noticed the pink pipeing, the dominant placement of Wonder Woman, Batgirl, Supergirl and Catwoman and realized IT WAS A GIRL'S LUNCH BOX!!! Now, I'm more enlightened these days, but 5 year old me would have been mortified if any of his friends picked up on this at the time!

But either way, it's a great lunch box, and my favorite childhood one. I now have two so I can display both sides!

My fav was my first one based on Super Friends. In early 90's while stationed in Cali, I found another one affordable at a resale shop, so I bought it along with its thermos.

Wow, awesome stuff, guys. I’m immensely enjoying this old thread.

All of the lunchboxes being posted here are beauties, all of them.
