What was the First item that you bought on ebay?

It was a incomplete G1 Megatron. That was 8 years ago. Sadly I have not purchased anything on ebay since they began forcing Paypal.

I used to buy/sell vintage drums and in 1998 with (oftentimes) no pics, I would purchase lots and parts bins and then place them back up with pictures. I didn't have a digital camera at that time, but I did have a camcorder and a Mac with an a/v input. Gave me a little edge for selling.

scanning through my ancient history, I also noticed the first item I wished I could get back. July 1999 - 26" zildjian ride. Awesome sound, but it was bigger than the rest of my kit. Wished I would have kept it for recording. Ah well - I got my rent paid that month.

From what I remember, it was either a Mego Kirk or Spock. It seems like many, many moons ago now.

I was trying for a Mego Batman, but I settled for a Supes. Bats was only a week or two away.

and then a vintage complete Battle Cat for my He-Man

Mego Hulk back in 1998. He was like 23 bucks or so. It was the beginning of a more-expensive-than-I-want-to-admit hobby.

A minty loose Mego Batman in 2001. Still have him. It's funny how I always think of most of my collection as new with very little personal history this one actually been with me nine years now.
