First thing I bought on Ebay was a Mono Sgt. Peppers Album. Paid $100 for it...but it is Near Mint, cover and record. First thing I sold on ebay was a Miles Davis LP called "Kind Of Blue". The LP was still sealed inside the Cover...never played. Found it at a Salvation Army way back when you could actually find stuff in the wild like that. Sold that for $110. Paid, get this, $1 for it at the Salvation Army.

And because of all their tears,
Their eyes can't hope to see
        The beauty that surrounds them
        Isn't it a pity".

Ah, another Kill Bill fan, those movies are among my very favourites. I bought a ton of Kill Bill memorbilia on ebay but don't have a Hattori Hanzo katana yet.

The first thing I bought on ebay was a 15" Bandai Godzilla vinyl. Not the best experience though, I'm pretty sure there was shilling involved (I wasn't smart enough to snipe back then). Also, it was sent from Japan, and the seller packaged it by just wrapping the rather large original box for the toy in paper, he didn't put it in a bigger shipping box. This meant that the box was pretty damaged by the time I got it. At least the toy was ok, but I was a bit miffed.

This was about 12 years ago. Back then I was mostly selling, and with no photos either, I didn't have a digital camera and at that point there were many sellers that had auctions with no photos, hard to believe now!

I am not positive it was the very first thing I bought on Ebay, but I think it was...

I bought a Parker guitar. I had always wanted one, but they are ridiculously expensive instruments. But on Ebay, I found a really great deal on a new one. This was before PayPal... and I remember a lot of the deal depended upon your trust in your fellow man. ("Surely he won't rip me off, because he doesn't want me to leave him negative feedback"). Seems so ridiculous now, but I *did* get my guitar... and it plays like a dream... so no regrets.

I believe it was a book called "The Shaun Cassidy Scrapbook". Yeah...since I came into my Shaun fandom so late in life, Ebay is responsible for my huge Shaun collecton. (and yes, I say that w/ pride!)

I think the first thing I purchased was a Planet of the Apes laserdisc, which I still have, believe it or not.

The first item I sold was a enclosure for an external fast computer hard drive system. And I sold it to the actor Crispin Glover. I was a little surprised when the check came with his name and address on it.

It was either and incomplete Mego Batgirl or Green Arrow. They arrived about a day apart back in late 1997, so I don't remember which was the "first" one I purchased.
