    My Morning Accident

So, I was coming out of the bank early this morning (doing something toy related) and cruising to the office. I can't describe the well being I was feeling, almost euphoric, while I was going through an intersection (I had no stop) all of a sudden I had another driver five feet away in my side window.

I tried to swerve but he nailed me good, when he got out of his car the excuses flew "You were going really fast" ( iwas going 55 km/h) which I replied, "You had a stop" and then "the sun was in my eyes" which is just silly considering I was coming from the east, not the west.

Anyway, my car is now in the shop and I'm sore as hell. All told it could have been much worse and I guess I should count my blessings.

My car is now completely littered in Megomuseum cards, i had a box in the back and it was raining kirks after the accident.

      Hey,
That sucks about the accident, but. . .

Does anyone else relish the visual of it "Raining Kirks?"

Glad you're alright. Take a long warm shower tonight and be liberal with the Tylenol. And you probably know not to sign anything for the other guy's insurance.

I highly recommend chiropractic care, dude. Your body will probably be in some form of shock, and you'll need to help it back to your normal state.

Sucks big time....I hate idiots! Glad you're okay. We need palitoy!

Damn man, you just can't catch a break recently, can you?

            At least you're alright.

Don't you just love it when someone screws up like that and first thing starts trying to shift blame? I mean, what's wrong with "Sorry man, I just didn't see the Stop, my fault". I can respect that over BS excuses.

Brian, sorry to hear about the accident. Remember the 3rd day after the accident is when you will hurt the worst, so take it easy the next few days.

I would loved to see a picture of it raining Kirks.

I'm glad you weren't seriously hurt. People around here still blame stuff on the hurricane.

Thank goodness you weren't hurt badly. I'd get yourself checked over though just in case. My back still isn't right, from an accident I had when I was 16 (and believe it or not, even at that age, it wasn't my fault).

Glad you're not dead. Other drivers are the worst.

I'm glad you're OK, Brian. That guy probably got his license out of a cereal box. Take warm baths, Aleve and lotsa Vitamin E. Feel better soon.

                          Hey,
                          Related note:
My wife had a fender bender about a week ago. Guy in front started to go right, she started forward to go left and he stopped. Completely her fault. She got out, apologized, admitted it was her fault and called the police. Fender damage to us, minor bumper to him. So the cops get there, take the statements - she once again states it is her fault - and goes back to his car.
He comes back to my wife and says she is free to go. She is a little puzzled - usually the one at fault get some sort of ticket, or at least a citation. When she asked, the cop said he was not going to give her one, but he had to have a discussion with the other driver. My wife, not being foolish, takes off.
30 minutes later, she drives by the scene - guy is still there, three cop cars are now surrounding his vehicle and he is assuming the position on the hood of his car.

I'm really sorry to hear about your accident Brian. They suck anyway you slice it and the aftermath is always a headache but you're right, it could have been much worse. Hang in there, bro.
