It's not just a coincidence that teams will often pick up players or trade players within the same division.

I'm a Colts fan. Can anyone guess how I feel about the belichick and the pats? I just hope that the Chargers just plain suck this year, and that the pats are simply normal. Can't wait until Nov 4th is behind me and I know how we stack up this year.

Being a Bills fan in New England is torture in itself but what the Pats did is disgraceful. Of course all the Pats fans around here are clinging to the weak argument that "everyone does it." Well, no they don't frankly. What everyone does do is try to memorize the opposing defense's signals; what they do not do is videotape them! It's the difference between trying to memorize the teacher's 100-question exam's answer sheet before the exam and actually having it next to you while you take the exam...a weak argument. Think, possibly, how many players' and coaches jobs were lost due to losing to the Pats year after year in the payoffs. The trickle down effect is enormous in terms of the repurcussions from cheating. Although I'm VERY likely pipe-dreaming, infact I am pipe-dreaming, but I hope the Bills kick the crap out of them Sunday. They got off easy in terms of punishment as well...Bellicheat should have been suspended for a couple games at least just as a player is when they cheat with performance enhancers and other banned subsances. I mean players are suspended for actions that don't even take place on the field, in their personal lives. How a coach who cheated is treated differently is clearly horsepuckey.

Actually Lou with what's coming out lately it seems it is more common than most people thought. I will be the first to admit what they did was wrong, even though there is a gray area in the reading of the rule itself. It states that it is illegal to use videotape in the course of the game, which could mean in that game, it doesn't necessarilly say you can't use it in preparation for the next game. I believe this is why they did not suspend him and only fined him the maximum amount they could. The only time in league history mind you. It is a "loophole" but even I as a Pats fan will admit it was a stretch. There are also reports that Detroit and Green Bay speculated that New England was using videotape in some of their games last year, yet they never reported it. Why?? Because the last thing the coaches want is the NFL security policing the entire league, because the majority are doing it and many other things. More coaches have gone on record against Mangini's actions than Belichick's. Now I do have my own theory. Many people think Belichick was being arrogant. Maybe, but one thing he isn't is stupid. If taping is such a big advantage, which I guess it could be, let's think what team has been the victim of a big comeback that affected the Super Bowl winner. Hmmmm. Oh the Pats lost to Indy last year, I remember a 24 point comeback vaguely. Maybe something was up in that game and Billy boy knew dangling something blatently in front of Mangini, we actually call him (Man-weenie) in New England, would bring this to light and eliminate it all together. If this had happened anywhere else it would have died by now, but because it was the Pats it was like football blasphemy. Which is good cuz it motivates a team most analysts were giving the Super Bowl title to in the preseason and over confidence often can lead to failure. A few years ago an MLB team was caught watching a game, while they were playing in it, in an attempt to steal the other teams pitching signs. That story lasted about 48 hours. They actually had a camera from the live telecast showing in the bullpen so they could have a clearer view. As far as the suspensions of outside players, obtaining HGH and steroids without a prescription is against the law. Killing innocent animals is against the law. And even though Pac Man Jones got off because it wasn't actually him that put that father of three in a wheel chair for life, it was a member of his entourage carrying out a threat he made, and with the 10 or 12 other police issues he had they felt it was enough. I hardly compare any of these to cheating at a game. Nascar catches teams cheating all the time. Why is it not such a big deal there? Because they're all pushing the rule book to the max. That's just the way it is wether you like it or not.
