        You guys forgot the granddaddy of them all...Birth of a Nation.

        That's were the KKK are the good guys...and the Union black soldiers (played by white actors in blackface)...with their evil "mulatto" leader...the baddies.

        Great film in terms of technical achievement for its time though....D.W. Griffith was a great pioneer director...but that subject matter...well...kinda comical now.

        The moral of the Birth of a Nation story...don't mix the races...or you'll get an evil "mulatto" kidnapping white women...lol.

            That reminds me of another one that I have never seen "Mammy" made in 1930.

                Yep, the film only got three official home video releases, VHS in UK, and laserdisc in Japan and Hong Kong....that's it. Everything else is an unauthorized release, including every DVD of the film that you find out there.

                I remember going to the theatre with my mom and sister to see the last theatrical release SONG OF THE SOUTH ever had (mid 80s?), I'm glad I had the opportunity to do so.
