The Msties saw it too. Almost everytime he was onscreen there was a Nanoo Nanoo reference.

because to do effects like that for 20,000 and little to no marketing that would have been remarkable.

this film had a budget of a gazillion dollars and double that for marketing -it better be good. as a matter of fact that is the reason for some of the nay saying - when you have that kind of money - come up with a compelling story for pete's sake

Have you seen "Mystery Science Theater 3000: The Movie?" I always thought the Mutant rocked; but the film is pretty blah.

Well gee Don, didn't you notice when the MST3K people would occasionally go "Nanoo" when they showed the alien?

Just one other thing I'll mention about the subject.

I think anytime someone breaks the record for movie costs, it makes headlines and it almost seems like many people want to see it fail (Waterworld anyone)?

I personally like Waterworld a lot even though it didn't do well at the box office.

Hmmmm.... I think part of the problem is once you hit a certain price point people's expectations increase. I've seen a lot of huge budget films that I thought were okay, but everyone else hated. Had they less hype, less names, less recognition, they might have done okay.

At my local TRU, they are placed next to the Star Trek movie toys (kind of fitting) and they appear to be selling well, the inventory is light at best.

I think when a movie has this kind of staying power, the merchandising gets a longer window to sell.

But the merchandise for Speed Racer would somehow negate that statement A flop and still our TRU is trying to get rid of the stuff at original price

Oh, man... what a longest comments!

I'm not interesting all those classic movies but I likes classic and modern Star Wars and Star Trek movies.

I'm recommend "AVATAR" is awesome movie I ever seen with 3D!!! I went there 3 times, I loves it!

Funny thing is I dug out many 3D sunglasses out of "recycle" blue box and collect 20 of 'em, LOL! I shared some of mine to my families and friends, they're enjoying with that 3D sunglasses.

The ticket only cost me $2 in Texas City Theater 12 with wide screens in the Mall of the Mainland building. I'm very lucky to saving $23 in my pocket!

I accept AVATAR collectibles....... forget expensive items, I cares of those awesome Toys in my collection. That's for any age is GOOD.
