My class ring is in the basement in a box of school momentos. I am not sure if I ever wore it , with the exception of my senior portraits, much less gave to someone else.

I hated that ring. My birthday is in August, and I hated the green birthstone, so I got a red stone instead. And our school mascot was a baby chicken (sigh,...that is a whole other issue). The company that did our rings that year did not have baby chickens (huh? Wonder why? LOL) and they instead substituted owls on our rings. The end result was the ugliest ring ever. Maybe I should have given it away.

That's funny, I didn't care for my birthstone either, so I picked another one I liked.

I didn't want a ring either, but my Dad got me one anyway. I was kinda glad he did because my school had a ring ceremony and I would have been an odd duck without a ring...

The girl I dated my senior year, wore my ring for a while. I think she used yarn to size the ring down for her fingers. We split up, the ring came back and went into a box where it has spent the rest of its days.

I gave my class ring to my husband, who used to be my boyfriend, sometime around 1989. He still has it boxed up somewhere in a drawer, as it was too small for him to wear. My goodness how time has flown!

              Congrats, Dave.
