Cancelled Cotswold..? It was a good idea for me a few years back. I loved seeing the pics of the vintage sets, but the prices were clearly laughable..

They were like $300 for a talking AT figure with a fairly beat-up box and most of his accessory items were listed as reproduction..?!?

Typically the prices were like twice what you'd find for similar items on eBay. Nice selection, but way-overboard prices, plus they kept listing more and more newer 1:6 sets from the different vendors, of which I had no interest in.

Me too. I was told they would only do military but money talks.

Still like Doc Mego they have a lot of odds and ends for customizing. Thier new " Fuzz Heads" ( Adventure Team guys) are pretty cool. They have the black guy available in grey hair, plus where else are you going to get a Japanese head these days? Plus boots, belts , guns, etc.

Thier prices have come down a lot over the years . But other than loose heads I've never bought vintage pieces from them.

Thier Bendy fingers hands are great!

Well as you can see now, Cotswold is mainly non- Gi Joe, yet I have a feeling that if the 12" CA figures are produced again Cotswold will still refuse to carry them.
I got the impression they are prejudiced against Captain Action.
      Anyone else think so?

was this a true "Barbie" product. It sounds more like an adult theme "fashion Doll" like product from a toy producer (like the porn action figures). Mattel has limits to what they will market with the barbie tag (even the high end lines lingerie barbies VS yes but Fredericks of hollywood no)

cotswold was the best source for Joe stuff for over a decade (12" or RAH let alone india figures) and the prices were excellent but as ebay grew less and less stuff was available for them to remarket (and the factory finds in europe and south america were in the 80's and early 90's). then they got into repro parts and replacement bodies (which became obsolete when hasbro started reproing everything). Then they entered the 12" military non joes focussing on areas hasbro didn't but were surpassed in quality and price by Dragon.

They are the only source I know of for the Action man repros in the states which is about all they have I am interested in anymore

I'm guessing you won't be getting the Honey Rider Barbie? By the way, does that mean Ken will be James Bond?

I used to really like the Cotswold catalog but I haven't received one since the late 90's. I kind of forgot about them.

No Generally I use the term GI Joe for any 12" male figure with costume, and Barbie for any 12" Female figure with a costume.

I just looked online at the website and they have magnets in thier feet so they can stand on special steel stands. Looks like a strippe pole thingie.

I just wonder with this junk if they'll ever get around to having a Marion Ravenwood .

Persoanally i think the prettiest and nicest curves on a 12" female was the Princess Liea from the 1970s. She was more realistically proportioned. Wider hips , smaller chest.

Sue me I like real women.

I like the reproduction parts they offer and the newer Flocked heads are great. Better than the Hasbro reissues. Plus they have crazy stuff like bearded Japanese , bearded European guy, White and grey hair on both the caucasian and Black Joes.

And the "negro" soldier head with hair makes a nice head for anything from South American to Middle eastern guys.

The Action Man stuff is good but last year i went for broke buying parted out pieces from England.
