Let me introduce Lake Effect snow,when the water in Lake Erie has yet to freeze,the cold air blowing south from Canada creates a snow front that covers noth east Ohio,or the snow belt as the news calls our area.Freezing temps,piles of snow and drifts that are as high as some houses.Welcome to winter in Ohio.

Man don't I know it I live in Rock Creek Ohio (Ashtabula County) and man the snow is high and right now it's 1 degree and is supposed to drop to -7 tonight.

Actually it wasn't as cold as I expected. Sure, it was only 1 degree Celsius outside, but when you just got out of the saune it didn't feel that cold at all. Didn't need that care package

Colder tonight, I think there will be some damage to citrus trees this year.

Tomorrow it's forecast to be 43c here in Melbourne, that's 109.4 Farenheit. Starting to warm up a bit

I think my banana trees are dead again. Same thing happened last year, but come spring I had new ones sprouting, so I'm hoping this spring they'll do the same

I'll be cutting down a lot of Banana trees today, along with crinums, Angel's Trumpets, and pulling lots of dead salvias. My rain barrell is the same today.
