The first one was WAY better...and that ain't saying much. My 5 year old liked the second one; my 10 year old thought it was lame.

I was SOOOOO bittered up when I heard it was originally gonna be a "Rex Havok and the Asskickers of the Fantastic" movie.

I thought the first was okay, but wasn't a fan of this one. My kids love them both. It is nice to see them into something I grew up with.

My wife took my 6 year old and when I asked her how the movie was she responded "It was awesome!" Target audience.

I personally enjoyed Monsters Vs. Aliens just b/c I'm such a fan of those B&W B pictures of the 50s, that I thought it was kind of a funny tribute.
