It's hard enough for some folks to get through the holidays (family issues, dysfunctional relationships, depression..), so let's add some preachy songs to feel even more guilty about.
I actually like the 'Do They Know It's Christmas' song, but I agree with your point whole-heartedly..

Actually if you are talikng about the aid for Ehtiopia song Written by Bob geldoff the title actually is "Do they Know it's Christmas" by BAND AID. and it is still way better than "We are the World"

I agree....the novelty of this novelty song has definitely worn off. The original version was by Elmo and Patsy. By when they got divorced, Elmo re-recorded it and I think that's the version that is played the most now.
