Since its Christmas time I thought id remind everyone of this disaster. The only thing I liked was the animation scene where you see the introduction of Boba fett.
Anyone remember watching this when it came out?

My brother and I watched it together and to my 6 year old brain it was awfull (exept for the Fett cartoon) I always hoped it was the launch of a Saturday Star wars cartoon but nope
and later I had to get a bootleg copy to see if it was as bad as I remembered but as an adult it was WAY worse 2 hours of my life wasted TWICE
I got a copy last year; and I've watched it a few times. It's SOOOOOO bad your brain forgets it seconds after it ends. Although I'm kinda sad they didn't make figures from it. (Prototypes of Chewbacca's family WERE made.)
I am waaaaaay in the minority.
I love the Christmas special.
I was a big fan of the Carol Burnett Show and this just seemed like a melding of the two. Bea and Harvey - Yes.
I was a little disappointed that Luke and Han weren't in there, but I thought the wookie family was cool. I still enjoy the campy nature of it, tho it does move sloooooow. I'll take the xmas special over a 25 minute podrace or weeping Anikin any day.
I remember being so excited to watch it. I got to watch 15 minutes of it. We were at my Grandmothers, and she only had 1 TV. My mom insisted that we watch Different Strokes. She told me they would play that special every Christmas and I could watch it next year.
I remember being super-psyched about this coming on. I cut out the pictures from the TV Guide and pasted them on my wall and I did watch it. Funny thing is the only part I remembered is the Boba Fett cartoon and a little bit about Chewbacca's family.
Rich
I remember watching it the one night it aired. I have a pretty decent copy on DVD. It is painful to watch but does have a sorta charm about it too.....maybe just childhood nostalgia. My kids won't even watch it after having sat through it once.
