Nope. never wanted them as a kid either. I'm a bit of a chicken. I was always afraid I'd break something or get hurt.

My mom wouldn't allow me for nothing to have a BB-gun when I was small. So on mothers day I bought this bad boy and made it fully automatic. The company is Baikal and the gun is the Drozd. Its the best gun ever.It shreads rodents, birds, racoons, buzzards in a heartbeat. You will never go back to pus bb-gun ever.

I never had one, but I did have a .22LR, a .177 pellet gun that shot 1200fps and a .410 shotgun as a child. I learned markmanship and gun respect at a very early age. Now I have a lever action 30-30 Winchester that I can drive nails with. If the zombie apokolypse ever happens I'm ready for some serious head shots.
With today's mentality and kids not understanding firearms, I think a BB gun is a bad idea unless heavily supervised.I almost had a psychic girlfriend but she dumped me before we met.
If anyone here believes in psychokinesis, please raise my hand.Comment

I'd recommend against BB guns for kids unless you're taking them out to shoot at some kind of range. The days when we were kids and you could run around in public with any kind of toy or BB gun are gone. The police shoot first at the sign of a weapon, thanks to the kind of criminals that run around. There is zero tolerance for gun's today.sigpic "It's like you're unravelling a big cable-knit sweater that someone keeps knitting and knitting and knitting and knitting and knitting and knitting..."Comment

I will give my old BB rifle to my son when he is ready as an intro to shooting sports before i work him up to higher power (22, 10ga then finally 223 ab 30'06. I will not get him a bb pistol (not that I didn't have one in my day but as others have said the cops are too trigger happy now)Comment

I have several.
Like my Robocop gun.
A neighbour's kid use to come over, and all he wanted was that gun.
I instructed him never to aim at people or animals. Repeatedly.
First thing he did?
Aim it at people and animals and pull the trigger.
I never gave him any "bullets", though. I know kids.
The point to all this?
I won't give these to kids.
Knives, well, that's another matter......
