Honorable mention - Leverage. I let things run at least a year now before I get involved. I caught one ep of Pawn Stars and it was interesting. I occasionally get sucked in on the Discovery Channel shows where they tease some mystery. I watch for an hour or two while they never come to any real conclusion.
I do the same thing with History Channel and National Geographic Channel.

    LOL!!
That's what I used to hate about watching In Search Of... or Unsolved Mysteries or just about any special featuring a monster like Bigfoot, Loch Ness, etc.
They never have a conclusion...all conjecture.
    Yet they are so fascinating!

Just zipped over to tv.com. They've got Anthony Bourdain's:No Reservations listed as starting in 2005. So include it?

Fringe, Stargate Universe (imo best new show on tv), 30 Rock, Pawn Stars (have no idea why this one is so fascinating to watch) there are probably some others that slip my mind right now. Older shows: The Office, Dirty Jobs. Oh and ANDY FREAKIN GRIFFITH!

Never heard of NCIS: Los Angeles before, but no doubt they'll show it here too soon

Actually, there are more mentions of SMDM than Smallville in this thread. Both people (and there were only two) that mentioned Smallville made a note to the effect of "it's not new, but this is what I watch on Friday (still follow).". Not one of the two confused it for being a new show.

    My answer:
Big Bang Theory. (Fully realizing it is in it's Second Season).
    Pawn Stars
Batman: The Brave and the Bold (realizing it is in it's Second Season).
