    Ok...here's my can of worms...lol.

Actually...I agree with you on the 60s and 70s:

    60s - Star Trek
70s - Six Million Dollar Man
    80s - Cheers
90s - Seinfield (X-Files is a very close second...but the last two seasons were beyond horrible...that's why it gets bumped down to number two)
    00s - Dexter

My wife and I, too, rarely watch anything other than some of the kid's shows. We don't have cable so it is a lot of PBS Kids and Qubo. We do make it a point of watching or taping Big Bang Theory. Other than that it is Retro TV Network over the air for me (& football on Sun.) and the Bachelor for the missus.

BTW...I was staying on topic with what's my new favorite TV show...Pawn Stars is the latest new show I got into.

But my favorite show BY FAR...and I mean BY FAR...is Dexter...to me...Dexter rules. True Blood is number two.

I don't watch Network TV shows (not even the Simpsons anymore)...I hate all their programming (and their PG rated stuff)...especially bloody commercials.

    God bless premium cable.

You get to see a lot of collectibles.

It's really fascinating...to barter with stuff...and I get a kick every time a seller says, "I want $3000 for it"...and the pawn guys say, "I'll give you $400 for it"...lol.

I really like the old man...he's old school all the way...lol.

Good little reality show...I dig it.

I love 30 Rock. It's a pleasing mixture of absurdity and smart-assed-ness with occasional flashes of warmth.

I don't watch much network TV, but I did get hooked on How I Met Your Mother recently (just a great, great comedy), and to my eternal shame, I've become hooked on Jersey Shore on MTV.

Yeah, yeah, I know. It's awful and I should be ashamed of myself, but watching this houseful of imbeciles go about their day makes me feel SO much better about myself.

Oh, and on the cartoon front - The Superhero Squad Show. Talk about knocking it out of the park. Now, if we only had a Tiny Titans cartoon...

Last new show I really liked was Earl, and that got cancelled. Heroes lost my interest after the strike.

It's in it 4th season but if you have never watched Friday Night Lights, do so. It's very good and it's not all about football. It's playing on Direct TV now and will be on NBC in January or Feb.

Glee is fun. Lot of attractive ladies, too.

I forgot to mention that I really like Big Bang Theory too. And it's not really "new" but I'm a 24 addict too. Can't wait until the new season starts.

NCIS is definitely my favorite TV show. However, I wouldn't consider it new if the definition is within the past year or two. With that criteria I have to go with The Dollhouse. Thought it would be stupid but gave it a chance and I got hooked.
