I'll take anything villain-wise...the Raimi Spidey movies are by far my favorite
superhero film franchise. I love the RHINO...but if he can't be in a
Spidey movie...maybe he'd appear in a HULK movie?

I enjoyed part 1 and thought 2 was great, but part 3 was laughably bad in every single way.

According to IMDB Dylan Baker as Dr. Connors is back, so presumably he'll become The Lizard at some point. One of the worst things about this franchise, and part 3 especially, is the insane coincidence that everyone who gains super-human abilities is connected to Peter Parker in some way, so as much as I'd love to see Dylan Baker as a super-villain I think it will just be more of the same if they do it.

Last month I was trapped in a motel with the choice of Spider-Man 3 or Superman 3. I chose a documentary on some crazy ex girlfriend of Prince Charles. I thought the first two were home runs but man, that third one has me really apathetic towards Spidey sequels now.

That's pretty funny. I haven't watched much of Smallville, but my girlfriend watches it.

I was slightly annoyed that Doc. Ock knew Parker before he became a bad guy, because it was a little too close to the Green Goblin story they'd already used in the first one, but the rest of part 2 was great, so it didn't bother me.

But part 3 - man! Would it have killed them if Sandman was just a criminal who didn't have anything to do with Parker? It's not even the worst thing in that movie - but come on!

For Brian and those bashing on Spidey 3, yeah it was inferior but I liked
other aspects of the Spidey 3 production values so it didn't bother me---

I'm positive that Spidey 4 would at the very least be more of the same--
                  ---and I'm cool with that.

That's the difference between Supes 3 and Supes 4 with me---I thought
Supes 3, as slapstick as it was, had a decent production value and a decent
"3 act" structure----Supes 4 seems so thrown together without any
redeeming focus, I just can't stand it.

                        Don't bother...it sucks big time.

Spidey 3 features Green Goblin Jr with shades and a flying skateboard.

                        Mary Jane singing (horrendous voice).

Peter Parker dancing like an imbecile.

Venom showing the actor's face more than Venom himself.

More Spider-Man fighting without his mask...so we get to see more annoying Tobey Maguire face.

The only cool and interesting character was Sandman.

...and have any of you guys noticed Maguire's girl-like screams when he gets hit as Spidey? Oh my God...I really hate that dude...lol.

BTW...the actress who plays Gwen Stacy is much hotter that Kristen Dunst as Mary Jane.

Although...aside from Sandman...the black Spidey costume was pretty cool as well.

I honestly couldn't see the Vulture being a very good choice at this stage. He is among one of the campier villians to translate to the big screen. After Part 3, Rami needs to right this ship and get back on something a little more grounded than a guy flying around in a Vulture costume...Egads!

Hector - a C-?!!!!! Wow, that thing was a flat out F for me.

On a slightly related note, I saw "Drag Me To Hell" a couple of nights ago, and thought it ruled!

                              Hmmmm....

As a non-superhero guy I gotta say I didn't think 3 was any better or worse than the other two. It was weird how they mishmashed the continuity; but they do that with EVERY superhero movie.

                              >He is among one of the campier villians to translate to the big screen.

I dunno. Is he really any worse than a guy with semisentient robot arms, a guy made out of sand, alien goo, a juiced up Sentai-escapee, or a kid who sticks to walls?

It's not like they're using Humbug or anything.
