Mexican cops get corrupted because they recruit the poorest and most uneducated people...and they get paid peanuts.

    I believe a Mexico City cop gets $300 USD a month...man...that's nothing.

Surely it can't be as bad as most African countries, is it?

Man, i'm surprised Mexico hasn't had a recent revolution by now.
If the population was armed...you betcha there would be a revolution.

With drug cartels I kinda have the idea that if you hit them they'll hit you back twice as hard. Besides, what can you do when even the police is corrupt?

No disrespect meant otherwise towards Mexico
If very single upstanding Mexican citizen had guns...those drug cartels would be erased off the map.

Oh...and Mexico does NOT have capital punishment.

I fail to see why this is not a solid argument.

Mexico does not count as a real country for some reason?

Did you know Mexico has the 13th largest economy in the world and is a member of the G-20?

It's not like Mexico is Bangladesh or Rwanda you know.

Again...what doesn't hold up in my argument?

Yet the country is run down by hundreds of thousands of drug cartel scumbags...they have the entire country living under fear.

Of course you have a point there Mike, but what wolfie said is basically how we all feel here, it's how we see things. Guns provoce violence. Example:
Store owner gets robbed in Belgium at gun point, he hands over the cash and the robber splits.
Store owner gets robbed in the US at gun point, he pulls his own gun and there's a gun fight. Either the store owner, the robber or both are killed.

Then his 1st Bail was set at 40,000... and his second bail was set at 150,000 and this Guy still got outta Jail .. Once the Criminal system has these Guys The 1st time,.. let alone the 2nd or 3rd..., they really need to keep them, and Bail should not be set. Here is someone..., who already was in trouble for Assault on a Former Police Officer..., and then Molesting and raping young girls ... , and with the guy's previous convictions, this guy was Obviously a repeat offender, and seriously shoulda been treated as a dangerous Criminal, however was given chance after chance ... imo the Law system needs to seriously be looked at,.. and these types of people should not be given repeated chances .
Letting go of the gun debate for a second... it's beyond me how this guy got out of jail... repeatedly Somebody seriously ****ed up there... repeatedly
