It's got nothing to do with our gun laws.

    Look at Mexico right now.

Guns are illegal...every single one of them.

An upstanding citizen gets caught with a gun...and he's in a world of trouble.

Yet the country is run down by hundreds of thousands of drug cartel scumbags...they have the entire country living under fear.

That's what happens when you have defenseless citizens.

These criminals here in the USA...none of them can legally buy a gun...only citizens with absolutely NO criminal record...like me.

Most of these scumbags get their guns through the black market.

Sorry...I'm not sacrificing my right to own a gun just because some lowlife illegally obtains one...and goes out on a murderous spree.

I'm a respectful gun owner...I grew up with guns...I both fear and respect them. I know how to shoot, I know how to clean them, and most importantly, I know the great and responsible way to own one.

    I have never...even mockingly...brandish a gun at anyone...not even empty (no bullets)...to anyone...not even to cats...and God knows I hate cats...lol.

Sorry...but that's our right as Americans...no outsider is going to tell me otherwise...

...if you do...try and take my gun away from me...come on...I dare you...no...I double dare you...make my day...

Ok Meule...we are back to normal...we are disagreeing all over again...

Bad guys will always have guns.

The only thing making them illegal to everyone will do is take guns out of honest citizens hands.

It would be like 2 cars having a race and making one car race with no tires

In this case the scumbag appears to be a convicted felon so there is already a law against him owning a firearm. I know the US has more gun violence...but do they have more TOTAL violence than other countries? I dunno but if my 110 lb wife is going to be attacked by a 250 lb convicted felon I would like for her to be able to legally own a defensive weapon.

I found this years ago and thought it was interesting....stories of real people successfully defending themselves with firearms.

            The Armed Citizen

Lastly I heard this redneck guy one time say "I carry a shotgun in my truck because I can't carry a cop". I'm not so sure about a shotgun...but I get his point.

In this case it appears as though it may have been "conservative" Mike Huckabee who commuted the sentence of the lead suspect. Maybe his "Willie Horton" moment? Dunno.

All kidding aside this is deeply tragic for the officers, their families and all of the other victims of this horrible guy....whoever he is.

I believe you correct that Huckabee has something to do with the release of many, many evil people! Lets not let this thread go political but Huckabee talks a good talk but doesn't walk the walk, he's no true Conservative. Same here, very sad, feel very bad for the family. Yet America still needs to wake up! We are super weak on crime. Guns are not the problem, we tolerate the BS, thats the problem.

I just don't get that. Why would you even want a gun as an honest citizen? I don't have one and I don't feel like I'm missing out. If they would make them legal here I wouldn't buy one, simply don't need one.

I guess it's safe to say I will never agree with anyone of you on this and vice versa

Common sense! For Protection from these thugs that Illegally have guns. I live in the LAs Vegas area, we are in a vicious wave of tons of Home Invasions. Over the past few years many lives have been saved due to the homeowner having a gun. If you don't agree, whatever. But I know the facts, many, many were saved because of their firearm. I can tell story after story on friends and family who would no longer be here, but again , they are because of the 2nd Amendment! If you don't want a gun, thats cool, but don't turn into one of those extreme's who wants to remove guns from the good guy, thats like me forcing you to buy a gun. Control is a very evil thing at times. I'm actually picking up another gun this month. Anybody ant to go shooting? LOL
