Today we watched Zootopia 2. This was a fun movie that picks up right after the first one. It really is about time Disney gets a good movie out.

RENTAL FAMILY is a wonderful (Comedy??) Drama about the HUMAN CONDITION. Set in Japan, Actor Philip Vandarploeug is in search of acting gigs and is coming up short. He has a chance meeting with a gentleman who runs a "Rental Family" business.



the film, directed by Hikari and also written by Hikari and Stephen Blahut is just brlliant. some of the background shots are amazing and they showcase Tokyo in all it's glory. Philip has two gigs, one dealing with a young girl in need of a father-figure and an elderly gentleman who​ hires him as a sidekick, but evolves into his salvation as the old man seeks closure.

Brendan Frasier does a brilliant job as Philip and his career seems to be rebooting for the new millennia. good for him!!!

In fact everyone in this film killed it in acting. I am not familiar with Hikari, but I am gonna check out her work and I look forward to great things from her.

great film that deserves mainstream success. Cheers!!
