    Movie watch 2025

New year so time for a new movie watch.

BF & I just watched on Netflix Gabriel Iglesias Legend of Fluffy
    PXL_20250114_054000496~2.jpg
I have so many years tied up watching him perform. When I need to get out of my head and need a break from reality, he is my go to guy. 37 years doing stand-up.

Then I saw my BF doing math and he told me that Fluffy has been doing comedy longer than he has been alive. That made me feel old and yet proud that we have been together for around 6 years.

Finally saw the Super Mario Bros movie. I really liked it. You can tell Jack Black loved voicing Bowzer. I now have the Peaches song running through my head.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

I watched the film "Saturday Night" a reenactment of the events leading up to the first SNL episode.

It's well-cast, fast-paced and funny, but I don't know how much of it is real or fiction.

Boyfriend & I went for dinner & movie: Den of Thieves 2 Patera and burger & fries. The movie was good very twisty. Glad we saw it at the theater because there is no telling when we would have watched it at the house.

Today Boyfriend & I went to watch Casablanca
                PXL_20250209_204930232~2.jpg

You forget just how many lines from this movie has entered American phrases.

I watched this on VHS with my first boyfriend back in the 80's. I am pretty sure I have it packed away.

Here are the most famous Casablanca quotes sorted in order of their Google search popularity.

My BF keeps elbowing me to make sure I was awake.
I was happy that my nephew was laughing throughout the movie and he was unplugged for 2hrs.

I am watching MGM+ and it's pretty wonderful.

A nice selection of 1980's movies that I have not watched in a long time, or never had on before.

Some interesting 1970's movies and a few good things from other decades.

A couple were ones that I don't think can be purchased on a streaming ad free platform.

I'm getting to the Ninja movies soon.

One movie that I realized I did actually watch it and sort of forgot about was Roadhouse 66 (1984), at least parts of it originally, like many others, watching scenes here and there.

                    Started watching Yellowbeard again.

The Way West (1967) looks good so far.

                          Becoming Led Zeppelin

"the Syringe never left my arm"-Robert Plant

                          led Zeppelin (For the uninitiated)

                          Jimmy Page-Guitar (Magus)
                          Robert Plant-Vocals (Percy)
                          John Bonham-percussion (Bonzo)
John Paul Jones-Bass & Keyboards (Jonesy)

                          Does anybody remember Laughter?

Hahaha. This doc on the first 18 months of the history of Led Zeppelin does a very remarkable job. And even better is that it goes into the individual PERSONAL histories of each of the
members. For someone like me who knows pretty much everything on this band (and others) There were a few things that were new to me.

I am a bit surprised on some of the archival VIDEO that was in this film. Some of it back in the day would have sent the BOOTLEG community into ORBIT!!!!!

We get to see Bonzo's wedding footage with wife PAT. We see footage of a baby JASON!

Apparently Percy was estranged from his Mum & Dad, before he joined Zeppelin and it was only until he phoned them up and announced that he intended to marry a young girl, (first wife) MAUREEN. For Percy going to the States meant everything to him and it seems that it WAS his destiny to do so.

It was (One again) seeing LITTLE RICHARD live (in 1962???) that set him off, and once again, we see vintage footage of Richard belting out: LONG TALL SALLY and Richard is a F***EN ANIMAL just singing as if his life depended on it and you can see all the girls in the audience wanting to SCR** His brains out! and even ME, watching this NOW in the cinema, I can see what Percy (and LEMMY) meant and saw and felt and as Percy stated above in this review.

"The syringe never left my arm"

And I am glad it's STILL in MY ARM!!!

The lads all seem to have come from very happy families and I guess it does show in each of them , gotta remember this is before all the DEBAUCHERY and CRAZINESS in the 70's. Maybe there will be sequels of the WHOLE History or not. NO ONE else was interviewed for this doc, Only Magus, Jonesy and Percy. Bonzo rarely did interviews and the one they used was featured and played at various times for the lads and you can see on their faces, their reactions to HEARING his voice from so long ago...

Even if your not a Rawk fan or god-forbid; a Heavy Metal fan! This doc does provide an EYE Opening and PERSONAL view of the creation and genesis of the band and it's place in history and how History itself has played a role with the band itself.

PS: ONe again there were F***** People in the audience talking during the film, THREE BLUE RINSES were yaking it up and I had to go over and tell them to STFU!!! And they went on and then the people in front of them told them the SAME THING and they finally did. *** is wrong with people nowadays????

It's **** like this that drives me insane and I don't understand it. MANNERS, God damn it!! MANNERS!!

"A true story that follows seasoned deep-sea divers as they battle the raging elements to rescue their crew mate trapped hundreds of feet below the ocean's surface."

Last Breath was nice seeing in on a big screen with surround sound. The story keeps you toes with drama. Simu Liu and Woody Harrelson did a great job in this.

I would not take kids to watch this. You will be spending way to much time trying to explain what is happening.

                              GARY (2024)

Yeah, I admit it, I DID watch Different Strokes' as a youngster and it was F'KN Lame, no disrespect to Gary Coleman. This DOCUMENTARY on Gary Coleman was well done and I just saw it on the "E" channel or the KardASSian channel, I should say! It gives insight into how he ended up where he was and what is surprising is the fact that Gary was pretty much well liked by his REAL friends and all the interviews here with him as an adult, he comes across as a very INTELLIGENT guy and I can see why people liked being his FRIEND! And most of his real friends here in this doc came AFTER the FACT that he was broke and no longer a Hollywood Star!!

one of the best scenes is a interview he is doing with TMZ(???) and he's with TWO Beautiful ladies and they are just being rude and asking him demeaning questions and he goes OFF and tells them F-YOU!!!! And walks off with them asking him to come back! HAHAHAHA Good for him! His parents are in the DOC! They come across as weird, the mom seems normal and the dad is a moron. They are interviewed separately so I don't even know if they are still together??? I like Gary don't get it, how could you RIP OFF your own child??????

Apparently Gary had NO KIDNEYS when he was an adult and that sucked big time for him! His wife, is a PIECE OF WORK and yeah, I'm gonna say it SHE KILLED HIM! *****! Everything about her is so fake and in the opening interview it shows, and through their history together, you can see where it all ends up. Todd Bridges is in the film and to me he didn't get enough time talking about the show and Gary, but his contribution was valuable.

So yeah, if you get a chance and wanna see how poor Gary ended up the way he did, check this doc out.
