BF decided that tonight he wanted to watch the Karate Kid collection.

We are up to pt 3. My brat of a BF loves to remind me how young he is. He was reading the back of the DVD and had to say "this movies came out way before I was born".

This afternoon BF & I took nephew to Pizza Hut buffet and the went and watched Karate kid legends.
This was a nice wrap of the old Karate kid and a nice jump off with Ben Wang versions that I hope will be more movies.

It's summer time so every Tuesday at 10am our local theater shows an older movie at a discount. Today we rewatched The Wild Robot

Today BF and I went out of town for date night to watch Tornado
th (47) (2).jpgA Japanese puppeteer's daughter gets caught up with criminals when their show crosses paths with a crime gang, led by Sugarman and his son Little Sugar.

Let me when you, the movie starts in the middle, but they do go back and show the beginning as a flash back then pick it up.

After this this movie was very good, and we would have seen it event but glad we saw this in the theater, I mean a Western with a samurai what is not to love.

Went to see KARATE KID LEGENDS last night and...

                      It was KILLER!!!

I could not believe it. FORGET THAT Crappy Jaden Smith, WILL SMITH POS! Honestly, That was what I WAS Expecting. But, man, I could not believe it. The story was great, the camera work was great, except for the Scooter-NYC Jaunt between LI & MIA. I could SEE the CGI in play.

The only weird thing was it was 91 minutes long, I thought it was 120 minutes long, but no matter QUALITY OVER QUANTITY!

And it was FKN Brilliant how they took a OLD Karate Kid RIFF from the second film and used that as the foundation for the relationship between Myagi-San and Mr. HAN of China!!

Brilliant! They say this is set THREE YEARS After Cobra Kai, but I didn't see any mention of it unless I was distracted. And I was worried that We would get some COBRA KAI Spoilers, and I have yet to WATCH MY Cobra Kai full series-SIX DVD set I"MPORT" [ ] BUT! there is a GREAT Hmm... a great REFERENCE in the film at the end! teehee!

I could not believe that I was actually ENJOYING MYSELF at a film in the cinema and I haven't felt that way in a LOOOONNNGGGG TIME!

I am gonna go and say that Karate Kid Legends is MY Best film of 2025! Even with out seeing FF or Superman yet!

How AWESOME is it to see Jackie Chan and Ralph Macchio TOGETHER on the big screen and even watching them "Fight"!

It is just Out of this World: SURREAL!!!

The relationship between LI & MIA mimics and mirrors the relationship between Daniel and Ally and it was done sooooo Innocently and sweet.... None of this rated-R Horschet!!!!

I would have given this film a rated-G even with all the violence!!!

I went away feeling good about humanity again!!!

Conor (Day) the "Bad guy" was perfect with the way he was portrayed. Not tooo mouthy and talkative, but violent as Fck; Ready to GO OFF like a cannon if he wants too!

DVD I believe is out July 16th. I will be a FIRST DAY BUYER!

Check it out if you can!!!

I PRAY that they continue with more films, and have BOTH Han and LaRusso in them!!!

I don't watch a lot of movies anymore, it's halfway through 2025, and I've watched a grand total of 13 movies, and over a third of them have been this month (June).

So catching up with what I watched in '25...

In January I watched 2 movies...
                        -Watchman Chapter 2 (animated)
                        -Hellboy: The Crooked Man

In February, I watched 2 as well...
-Mike Mignola: Drawing Down Monsters (a documentary on Mignola)
-Lord of the Rings: War of the Rohirrim (animated)

March again saw me watching 2 movies...
                        -Conan the Barbarian ('82)
                        -The Three Musketeers ('74)

I didn't watch any movies in April.

                        May had 2 movies watched...
-Painting with Fire (a documentary on Frank Frazetta)
-Superman: The Movie ('78) as I was feeling the hype for the new Gunn movie

June was my heaviest viewing month, as I actually watched 5 movies (with 1 day left, though it's doubtful I get to another one)...
                        -Captain America: Brave New World
-The Day the Earth Blew Up: A Looney Tunes Movie (animated)
-Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny (finally got around to seeing this one)
                        -Double Indemnity
-Who Framed Roger Rabbit? (partly animated

Many of these were rewatches of old favorites, but a little more than half were first time viewings.

I've been far more interested in reading things than watching things so far (my Goodreads tally of books & graphic novels read so far this year is at 81) and until this month I just haven't felt much like watching movies or TV series. We'll see what July brings. I plan on actually going to see Gunn's Superman in a theatre ( I haven't been to a theatre in a while, the last thing I saw on the big screen was D&D: Honor Among Thieves), and I have some stuff I want to get to on DVD, so maybe the watching pace will pick up a bit (a lot of my watching has been the Paul Cooper video/podcast series Fall of Civilizations which can run extremely long-I'm still making my way through the episode on the Mongols but it's over 6 hours long and I haven't counted any of them as documentary movies for my movie list, but maybe I should, though I would consider them more series episodes).

                          IMG_20250701_100546.jpg

To be truthful I just do not remember if I saw this at the theater or on VHS. I was in High School when this came out and had my first boyfriend back then so some movies we made out and did not pay attention to the movie.

Still I remembered the songs. After that we went to Pizza Hutt for there buffet and noticed they went up on there price adding $11 each with drink.

Still cheaper than ballpark concessions, the drink alone would be $11.00
by the way is that stuff crust?

No, my PH did an overhaul of there buffet. Now they can only put out 6 pizzas at a time and no extra toppings. They can only put out 1 pasta and no more of there saucy 'wings'.
