yeah I loved how they were talking about that hat in the commentary on the Goonies DVD.

Oh and here's a fun story ... my good frend Dena (about 19/20 years old at the time) was working at the one hotel near cannon beach while Goonies was being filmed ... she was telling me how the kids would have to go to the hotel to use the restrooms ... and she remembers telling Sean Austin to put the toilet seat down ... since he had a bad habit of leaving it up.

When I went to Washington DC a few months back with my family I visited then air and space museum in Virginia (next to the air port) not the one in DC itself.It houses all fully intact one of a kind air and space vehicles including the "enola gay" and shuttle "enterprise".In the hanger housing the enterprise is a display of the actual model used in the movie of the "close encounters" mother ship.You can see all the parts from model kits used to create the ship and R2D2 is right there in plain sight (there are dozen of gag parts used in the model including a grave yard,model railroad train parts and other funky pieces)
Right next to that display is a cabinet containing space toys through out the past decades including the mego enterprise play set and the bridge crew Now if you go to the air and space museum in DC .....in the gift shop lower level (toys) the actual model of the enterprise from the classic tv show is on display
I should have posted this stuff months ago but never got around to it....sorry
