It's 7:20 pm...

...and not a single kid has been on this street Trick or Treating. Last year I had to refill the candy bowl. This is so depressing. My first Halloween alone in this house, and not one kid comes to the door. *sigh* Oh well.

I had about maybe 30-ish trick-or-treaters tonight even though we had some nasty rain

OK, 2 kids just came to the door, (they were together). I gave them a lot of candy since they were first. They said they were first again, so this makes me think that there isn't a lot of Trick or treating going on here tonight.

Well look on the bright side ... I can think of a lot worse things than being stuck with all that candy

Started at about 5:30 tonite and we ran out of candy at about 8:00. 244 kids.

8 teenagers came, only 1/2 got candy b/c the rest were not in costume.

I haven't any teenagers at all today.

All kids were between babies in their moms arms to maybe 9-ish the oldest.

We had kind of crappy weather here (a bit cold and windy, with on and off rain), so there didn't seem to be as many trick or treaters out as usual. But on the plus side, most of the houses that I took my son to were giving out double portions of candy because they weren't getting many kids showing up.

I haven't scene a Trick or Treat'er in like 5 Yrs, as far as 2 my house ...
I just got back from Taking the Boy out,.. He got a Ton of Loot.

Well, I just got the last of them, 3 more teenagers, one in a robot suit w/ sound box to make him talk in multi-tones, one Scream, and one Grim Reaper, all dancing to Michael Jackson music. I gave them a lot of candy.

This was the second year in a row that we had a very low turnout for Halloween. The last few kids who showed up got a buttload of candy from me just so I could get rid of it. I kinda miss having lots of kids coming out in costume for the holiday.
I did get a chuckle out of a few of the kids. I have my Dracula blowmold set up inside so he's looking out my front window. There was more than one younger kid who was hesitant to come to my door because they were creeped out by Bela

I forgot to buy candy (D'oh!) and never realized it till about 5 pm. Instead of running out and getting some, I just turned off the lights and went downstairs to watch the Flame's game. The neighbour came over and banged on the door about 9:30 and asked if I had any trick or treaters...I told my sad story and she told me it was no biggie as she had NOBODY came by. My neighbour is an old lady and lives for stuff like Halloween. Decorates the house and everything, so she was a bit upset. I found it weird as well, since there are two houses across the street with kids. One has three young kids, the other has 6, or 7...or more (they seem to pop up like rabbits over there). Anyways, even they avoided the area.

I'm not sure whats going on? H1N1 fears have the parents keeping the kids home? Wasnt the weather, its darn nice out tonight. Last year I had maybe a dozen kids come by.They used to come in groups by the dozen?..Maybe its a trend, and Halloween isnt cool or something right now?

I can't remember the last time I've seen kids out on Halloween. Most of them down here go to whatever church and get the candy there.
