Anyone ever play "Geronimo" or "Man From Mars"? Similar concept to both, running tag games, with slight variations...
In "Geronimo" when everyone runs, if you get tagged you're turned into a tree and must stayed planted with only arms outstretched to make new tags.
In "Man From Mars" you chant in unison...
"Man From Mars, can you chase us to the stars?"
"Yes", he replies
"What color?"
Once he picks a color, you have a split second to quickly look down and see if you're wearing that color and if you have to run. Then a melee ensues as you make a break for it.
I went to grade school in the early 70s but it was obvious that the titles of these games were left-overs from the 50s or 60s.
Always liked these 2 better than "Steal the Bacon" or "Fire, Water, Ice".
Good Times!
