Do you belive in Ghosts or supernatural spirits??

I've been watching "Haunted" on TV and wondered if anybody here has anything.
The Civil War battlefields are always featured on that show. Seems like a good place for ghosts to me. In fact the east coast is filled with supposedly haunted houses. I don't know if I believe in them, but I like the idea that they exist.

I don't have any good experiences, except for this haunted dorm at Miami University, Ohio. I lived near campus as a kid and was always exploring the various buildings. Supposedly some guy wacked out a couple people with an axe, in this one dorm. We never went in the place, it totally creeped us out. Lame but it's all I got.

    Anyone got any good stories?

Oooh I love ghost stories! I believe in ghosts, and luckily we don't feel any where we live now. In our first house, my mom swore an apparition trying to appear and was stooping over her in the bedroom when she felt someone staring and opened her eyes. She ran out of the bedroom so fast and refused to sleep in there. Whenever she spent the night, she would sleep on the couch in the living room...or in the other bedroom.

Also once, we were in the kitchen in an apartment in SF. We had one of those old stoves. There was a crowd of us in the kitchen, where we had a table set up. Several of us saw a butterknife make an arc and hit the refrigerator, 3 feet across from the stove and clatter onto the floor. It was still bright daylight. We just couldn't explain why it happened.
Those who look outside dream. Those who look within awake.
Samples of my work are found here: Life, Liberty and Pursuit of Happiness

    To do list:
1:6 boots for Mathilda, 1:1 Romulan Commander outfit, Ursus helmet; Cornelius appliance
    1:9 scale ape's new suit for Cornelius;

I definately believe in ghosts. We used to live in a farm house when I was younger and there were all kinds of strange things going on with that house. We used to hear voices at night coming from the closet that my parents and my room shared. There was a dog that would come at night and make a noise at the front porch like he was speaking in tongues with multiple voices. Always felt uneasy living there like something was watching us the whole time. I never slept alone while there. You would sometimes catch someone standing next to you out of the corner of your eye. We all had some dealings with what no one could explain. I have passed by a few times by the house where we used to live and have never step foot in it. Its been abandoned since we moved out some twenty years ago. The landlady lived on the same property and was japanese. They didnt believe in things like that. I remember my parents finding a white witch (curandera) to come and cleanse the two houses since they were experiancing the same goings on in there home. I got to see the whole cleansing with the egg where they crack it open after and the inside is black blood. Very creepy. I dont even hardly talk to my wife about what I saw in that house as a kid.

          I'll put it this way.
I lived in a 2 bedroom bungalow by myself.I used one bedroom for a bedroom the other one for a weight room.Everytime I left the house I turned out the lights except the front porch light.Every day I came home the light in the weight room was on!?!?!?!?
I thought it may have been the switch so I changed it out.Same thing continued to happen for weeks. Finally I talked to my buddy about it(it was his uncles old house).
He said "Wow strange I'll talk to my mom".
He calls me back and says you gotta come talk to my mom for a minute.
So I says okay I'll come on down.
I go talk to his mom and she tells me the house was her brothers and he died in that room!?!?!?!?
So then I was like what.
She said Yes he died in the room and was always afraid of the dark!?!?!?
You need to let him know it is time to move on and talk to him. He'll understand.
I go home do as she instructed me and I swear on my life it stopped. After that across the road from me in the abandoned church I would often see a light on inside that I never noticed before.
          Do I believe,Yes I think so.
“When you say “It’s hard”, it actually means “I’m not strong enough to fight for it”. Stop saying its hard. Think positive!”

I believe ghosts were invented to scare people, but I do believe in spirits and angels. Even though I love shows like Medium and Ghost Whisperer, I believe your spirit has an immediate destination when you die; no lingering around w/ unfinished business and all that. However, I do believe that those same spirits can communicate in subtle ways. Example: when I was going through my mom's things, I was sorting through the jewelry and trinkets. There was this certain little porcelain box that I wasn't going to keep. Out of no where, the music box on her jewelry box starts to play. I was like "OK, Mom I'll keep it", and then the music stopped. I don't think she's floating about here someplace, but I do know she's watching over me.
"Do you believe, you believe in magic?
'Cos I believe, I believe that I do,
Yes, I can see I believe that it's magic
If your mission is magic your love will shine true."

Do I believe in the paranormal? Dude, I am paranormal. Or is it abnormal? I forget, either way, it's all good.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

When I was young, I was in bed.
I heard something and got out of bed, when I suddenly felt someone was in the room.
There was still plenty of light, and even though I didn't see anything, I felt uncomfortable. I grabbed a book and threw it at the spot that felt "wrong".
The book hit something and fell straight down in a clear area of the room. No furniture or anything.
It didn't fall in an arc (obeying the laws of gravity), it bumped into something in mid-air and fell straight down.
Spent the rest of the night under the covers....

                        My theory on ghosts?

I think that when we die, an electro-magnetic residue of us remains. Sometimes it goes completely, other times it still "clings" together, like an electric charge. Our bodies function electro-magnetically. Electric impulses that animate our bodily functions. Once those die out, some may still resonate and linger on for short or longer periods.
Like a radio signal. All of our radio signals head out into space. So somewhere, maybe beyond Saturn, Elvis is still "playing live". His signal is still going on.
Same thing with people that die. Our signal still remains.

Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to reanimate some bodies in my basement.
                        .
                        .
                        .
"When things are at their darkest, it's a brave man that can kick back and party."

I enjoy ghost stories and can get really caught up listening to a good one. I have a vivid imagination and have even been freaked out by loud noises, etc afterward. But no, I don't believe in them. I've spent time at the Gettysburg battlefields in places that were supposed to be haunted, looking, listening, and sometimes recording. I also used to live in a college dorm and take theater classes in places that had reported paranormal activity. I've never experienced anything that would make me believe in the supernatural.
