I was preparing myself for it this year as my doc and I discused during last years physical. I had my physical a couple of weeks ago and he said I was in excellent shape and he saw no real reason to do it until I was 50 (3 more years).

Did anyone see the Sept 24 episode of the Office? In the opening segment Michael asked Oscar, who is gay, how he could make his colonoscopy a more pleasurable experience . . . .too funny . . btw no offense intended, if taken

I'm 41 and discussed the procedure last year with my doctor who also happens to be a female. I had a really good physical and no family history of colon cancer so she said I could wait until 45 unless something odd shows up in future physicals until then.

On the other hand, the prostate exam wasn't exactly fun. Fortunately, I have a brother 10 years older than me who gave me some of the best advice concerning a prostate exam. He told me to find a doctor with small fingers.
