I've watched Season 1 and 2 but haven't got around to picking up Season 3 yet. From the sounds of things, I may be disappointed but I'll have to check it out anyway...

Yeah I've always thought Sylar was too powerful and was glad when he was depowered for awhile there but then he got them back. Yeah they defintely had some problems. I agree that some of the seasons had a weird feel. Like nothing related to anyhting else. Like it was 5 different shows at the same time. And then they introduce charcaters and kill them off right away or set up what seems like a major storyline and take it nowhere (like Angela's sister)
I stiil watch it and haven't missed an episode.

Remember back when shows had great characters and an interesting premise, but had a plot with a beginning, a middle and an end. Was satisfying so you tuned in next week, and the week after and the season after that one.

These days. . . .shows that flow week to week, meander aimlessly and get lost in what the writers hope will be a clever twist, but leaves things open, resulting in things never leading anywhere,. . . . .like intercourse, without a climax. . . . they lead you on. . . .but you never quite get to where you want to finish with a big bang! You always end up getting bored and moving on.

Season 4 just started monday night and they're rolling again. some parts are a little slow but if you tlike the characters it's worth watching. remember season got hurt by the writers strike and they had to switch things up for the shorter season.

That's because most shows today are based on the soap opera way of writing.

Cool people will never admit to their favorite shows being produced as male soap opera's so they call them "story arcs"

Part of the problem with the last crop of shows like this was that there NEVER seemed to be ANY resolution. Ironic with Heroes, since the material it draws from (70's superheroes; especially the X-men) rectifies the problem by breaking the action into smaller bits. So.... the Brotherhood loses this fight; DECISIVELY.... but half of them are still around, so you know there'll be a follow-up. But for now there's definitely a winner.

It's a good technique, 'cos it allows some closure for the audience. It also allows the writers to take advantage of both finite AND infinite story techniques.

Ohhh a bunch of Clairs. Shes a hottie, and even though she's only 15 in the show, shes actually 21 so I can say that without being a creep.

We got season 2 today from netflicks, and I'll brace for the worst, but will watch anyway. Stupid writers strike messed up a bunch of shows I was into, like The Unit, which got cancelled, and never pickup any momentum after sucha long break during that strike. Oh well.
