I'm SO sorry, Coach. I know how that feels. My dad died in 1987. He was a heavy smoker and had high blood pressure. Even though he stopped smoking, the damage was already done. He never listened to his doctors about watching his diet and avoiding stress. I never got to say good-bye either. You and your family are in my prayers.

As a side note...one of own my aunts died a couple of years ago...she was a three-pack a day cigarette smoker herself for forty plus years...she died of lung cancer.

It's hard...but what can you do?

You try to talk to them...try to give them some sense...but the addiction is just too strong.
