It's their baby I worry about. I think it was Kevin Smith who conjectured that Wonder Woman was the only one who could carry Supes' child, as the kid would kick a hole in the uterus of Lois Lane or Lana Lang.

The baby thing wouldn't be problem at all for the post-Crisis, Pre-IC Superman. He didn't develop his super-strength until he was a pre-teen.

By the way, that Mythbusters episode airs tonight at 9 eastern!

An unborn Super-baby would have never had contact with the Earth's yellow sun, so it's safe.

              It was a good episode.

They proved that you can make a device to climb a wall. All other mythes were busted.

              Mythes they did

Can a punch leave a perminate mark on the victim (The Phantoms ring)
Can you build a device to throw a grappling hook, and scale a wall
How fast can you change clothes in a phone booth.
Can a grappling hook be used to allow your car to make a quick 90 degree turn.

I was gonna record the episode, but I discovered that lightening had fried my VCR.

Think B.A. Where did you hide the Megos?

I was gonna record the episode, but I discovered that lightening had fried my VCR.

                Just to add:

They made a metal ring and attached it to a hydraulic machine that hit a skull covered with supple pig skin. A normal human's punch did nothing, they increased the punch to that of a prize fighter which still did nothing, and then they assumed superhero strength. The fist broke the human skull but left no skull mark.

The grappling hook, they said busted for now but weren't quite sold. They should have had some professional rock climbers attempt it rather than them. I would have been more sold on the myth with that. There was also another one where they tried to shoot a nail tethered to cord into cement and slide across it but the nail had trouble attaching to the cement and when it finally did, it wasn't enough to sustain a human's weight. Admittedly, they didn't have enough time to fool around with it enough so I think that one is also still possible.

Changing clothes in a phone booth (like Superman)...the girl did it in 30 seconds. The only problem I had with this one was trying to apply human speed to super human speed.

The 90 degree grappling hook batmobile was definitely a bust. They calculated the amount of torque and cable strength needed to pull the stunt off but after several attempts with different materials, commented that there really wasn't anything strong enough to hold the pull of the car trying to turn 90 degrees and they only attempted it going 30 miles per hour.

It was a good episode though.

I can't believe I posted the reminder yesterday and still missed this. I was going to tape the reairing at 1 AM, but we were getting a whale of a lightning storm at the time, so I figured the power would go out.

I'll have to try and catch this on a re-airing.
