Yeah So,.. Been sitting Here Watching Far too Much History Channel Today..., It Seems they are spending the Day throwing out the Idea Behind the Possible End of the World,.. or the End of the 24th Century as ManKind Knows it witha few different Programs. Nostradomus predictions, Gas Sniffing Oracles , Indians , The Ancient Maya Calander that Magically stops at the Said Date, and The real Merlyin from Yester Days have all presented themselves,.. as well as a Few New Visionare's Using Science, & the Bot from the Internet deciphering and cracking what could be Codes in Future actions of the World.

Obviously the New Movie comming out soon,.. has some of the Same thought Process & seems to bank off of the Idea as well.

I find all this highly Addictive to be honest,.. & can not get enough of Possiblities to up comming Disasters , as well as thoughts that perhaps this Guy from a time over Here did see into the Future...

All interesting Stuff for me..., I do remember all the Nonsense when The Talk Grew More & More towards the Date of the Y2K As well..., & King Actually Had a Pretty funny Episode on the Topic as well ...

I guess My Question is ...
Do any of you Guys Buy into some of this stuff ?

Your going to smack me Jason, but I can't resist the need to share. I find this topic fascinating, but I've come to learn that when you get too starry-eyed about a subject, it's best to pull back and be objective in the bigger scope of...well whatever the subject is. I think topics like Nostradomus, ancient codes, gypsy fortune crystals, horoscopes, and the like have alot to do with people feeling like they have complete control of their lives. As if there's a physical presence which we can somehow grab hold of and steer in a manner that will determine our destiny. It's the same with UFO's, Big Foot, and the Loch Ness Monster. When we get bored with our existence, we like to idealize the world around us and suggest perhaps there is more out there than what truly exists. My son loves to watch all of those "haunted" shows where the hosts use "night vision" filters to lend a spookiness to dark surroundings and then spend the next hour overreacting and whispering, "What was that?" Every show they do the same d*mn thing and my son feels like he's watching something astonishing that Geraldo should be covering.
Of course I'm a man in my mid 40's collecting action figures from the 70's, so what do I know about being grounded? But your right Jason. Those kind of shows are fascinating and some make me curious at times with their findings. But I've found that life offers plenty of mysteries all on it's own without any help from my imagination. Now THAT'S a world I never want to get lost in. Take care bro.

I understand Man's NEED To Create the Allure of Ideas & thoughts that perhaps are not there,.. & the UnExplained seems to be the Best Result as far as Getting lost in ones thought Process, Because a Present Day 9to5 Job working for the Man pretty Much for the Most Part Sucks because your trying so very Hard to get to What YOU (ingeneral) Want to or are into.

But with that being said,.. I can Watch this Crap all Day.

I am probably the most sceptical person someone Knows... , My Son better make Sure He always tells me the Truth,.. because I will know.

When I was in high school, I would scare the hell out of myself watching The Man Who Saw Tomorrow. All the lifted effects sequences from Earthquake! and When Worlds Collide could'nt blunt the impact of Orson Wells growling that New York City would be nuked in 1999. Back then, at least.

Now, I know that so much of this stuff is open to so much sensationalistic interpretation that whatever the Myans or Nostradomis was really trying to say is a guess at best.

To tell you the truth guys this is what scares the hell out of me.I live my life day by day thinking it's my last.Its these world ending subjects that sometime really get the best of me.I don't know if it's a phobia or what.I was a small kid watching a show with my grandpa,and I didn't understand it.Until he explained it and freaked ever since,it really does make you wonder about things.But when it's our time....it's our time!!!

Well I find it very intriguing although like everything I do take it with a grain of salt. I to am skeptical for the most part. I like the mystery to some degree. However, I do still find things like this a bit interesting. It makes one think. What if?

If it would not have been for so many false prophecies and visions shared already I may buy into it more. Having said that I still stick to seeing is believing on most all issues. When and IF it gets here or happens then it will make a believer out of me. Other wise I am just going to continue on living life to the fullest and take things as they come one day at a time. What else can we do? Whatever shall be will be.

Perhaps that it is news/movies/tv such as this is what is making people more nuts O these days. Those that really buy into the information figure what else do they have to lose at this point in time.

On another note I will still continue to read Hectordamus's threads and keep up to date on his visions. LOL!!

I'm trying to figure out when Nostradomus changed his prediction. I thought they said he had it at a later date? Then all of a sudden the Mayans and the I-Ching say 2012,then he does too. Pretty good for a dead guy.

2012 is only the end of the current cycle in the Maya calendar; there are dates on monuments that are billions of years in the future.
