Nostradomus predictions, Gas Sniffing Oracles , Indians , The Ancient Maya Calander that Magically stops at the Said Date, and The real Merlyin from Yester Days have all presented themselves,.. as well as a Few New Visionare's Using Science, & the Bot from the Internet deciphering and cracking what could be Codes in Future actions of the World.

Obviously the New Movie comming out soon,.. has some of the Same thought Process & seems to bank off of the Idea as well.

I find all this highly Addictive to be honest,.. & can not get enough of Possiblities to up comming Disasters , as well as thoughts that perhaps this Guy from a time over Here did see into the Future...

All interesting Stuff for me..., I do remember all the Nonsense when The Talk Grew More & More towards the Date of the Y2K As well..., & King Actually Had a Pretty funny Episode on the Topic as well ...

I guess My Question is ...
Do any of you Guys Buy into some of this stuff ?

WELCOME TO EXIT MUNDI: A COLLECTION OF END-OF-WORLD SCENARIOS

As for my take; I think Iron Maiden said it best:

          "Another Prophet of Disaster
Who says the ship is lost,
          Another Prophet of Disaster
Leaving you to count the cost.
          Taunting us with Visions,
          Afflicting us with fear,
          Predicting War for millions,
In the hope that one appears.

No point asking when it is,
No point asking who's to go,
No point asking what's the game,
No point asking who's to blame,
'Cos if you're gonna die, if you're gonna die,
'Cos if you're gonna die, if you're gonna die,
If you're gonna die, if you're gonna die,
If you're gonna die, if you're gonna die,

If you're gonna die, die with your boots on,
If you're gonna try, well stick around,
          Gonna cry, just move along,
If you're gonna die, you're gonna die.

          13 the Beast is Rising,
          The Frenchman did surmise,
          Through earthquakes and starvation,
          The Warlord will arise,
          Terror, Death, Destruction,
          Pour from the Eastern sands,
But the truth of all predictions,
          Is always in your hands."

It is all fascinating stuff but I don't buy any of it. Nostradamus is so cryptic in his writing that you can almost take anything and make something out of it.

Also, these so called Nostradamus scholars can only look at past events and find meaning in passages.

It is the same thing with the Book of Revelation in the bible. I'm not trying to turn it into a religious thread but it is so cryptic and full of symbolism with predictions about the future. Scholars will point to it and say that it has also accurately predicted things in the past with accuracy but again, it is full of symbolism which leaves it up for interpretation.
"The farther we go, the more the ultimate explanation recedes from us, and all we have left is faith."

Yeah,.. I know Exzactly what you Mean ...

When you Have something so Damn Vague as ..

" The Sky Was filled with a Black Smoke Cloud, the sea Grew Dark, and Thunderous Roar grew Violently with Each Passing Second"

Ok,.. That Could Mean Nostradamus is Taking the Hugest Crap of his Life, you Know ?

It is the same thing with the Book of Revelation in the bible.
I actually like that part ....

What has me Facinated the Most with some of this Nonsense,.. is When they as in Nostradamus,.. & some of these other See'ers & Oracles,.. have named some of these people/events by names..., thats some interesting stuff.

No one wants to watch/read the story about the house that didn't burn down.

There is something more to the date in that it is the end of the current cycle, which is man's cycle. Prior to our current world cycle there were two others, people created from mud and people created from wood.

Maybe the fourth great cycle will be dominated by people made of cheese.

Well, Seeing how that is going to be the only way I will get them. Look out! Here I come! As long as you can have them shipped before the end of the world we will both be in business. I do not think that either one of us has anything to worry about there. I will be heading your way in the very near future.
Enjoy what you like, and let others enjoy what they like. (C) Azrak 2009
