How do you classify the people on this or any other board you visit

I would consider many here friends. I only use "acquaintance" for people I've have I know but have very little interaction with. I come here nearly every day. Even though I only reply to ceratin threads I read most of them. To me we're just like one big group having a series of ongoing conversations. Much like a real conversation people "talk" (in this case post) seperately. Another comparison is an "acquaintance" I'd feel comfortable talking to but only regular conversation or about something we have in common. A friend is someome I'm comfortable sharing personal information with.

Scary - I was just getting ready to write, "Some are friends, some acquaintances, and some are certifiable walking ******nozzles." Seriously Chuck, that's exactly what I was going to say.

"online buddies" is a term I use often. People I chat with about similar interests and like considering the limited amount I REALLY know about them.

Over the years though, through Megocon and many Megomeets, there are several that I've really gotten to know on a face to face personal level. Some I'd actually ask to help me move if they lived close (the true test of friendship!). The Meets have turned a few online buddies into real friends for me.

this is the only board i visit as well. the members here are honest and cool and i think the mods are really the ones who do a great job setting the tone for the museum.
