This is the single best forum I have ever participated in. Most posters here are very good natured, intelligent people, who have similar backgrounds or at least similar interests in many different areas, besides the obvious. They share personal accomplishments and tragedies and, through those, I feel a genuine connection to many here. It's a good place to be and I'm here virtually every day for Megos, customs, comics, movies, sports, news in general, or anything else that might be happening. Alot of good people here and I'm glad to say I'm a part of this family in my own way.

I do not tend to "classify" or label people. I think for the most part that most everyone here is really cool to type and deal with. Ther maybe one jerk off or two now and then, but that is everywhere you go these days.
I enjoying reading all of the different opinions in the forums. There is a wide diversity of people here with different backgrounds. This makes for a good thought process.

Well, this is the only board I've been on that I've really felt a sense of family and belonging. You guys have been remarkably supportive during this crazy time in my life. I have met Scott and Jessica (and will meet the Falcon in December), and hope to meet more. Hey, when things calm down, how about a Bay area Mini Mego meet at my house? Well, I haven't been coming here long, and I don't come here often either, so I would classify the people here as aquaintances.
But on other boards, I do have friends, and some really good friends.
But I have also met a lot of those people in person at conventions and such.
Correspond via email and PM and know a whole lot about them.
Some are such good friends they have even mailed me birthday gifts and stuff like that.
I have one friend on a music board that I have never met. Never even seen a picture of him. He's in Washington state, and I am in Ohio. But we corresponded a lot. Got to know each other really well. Used to send each other birthday and xmas cards and such. If I ran across something at a flea market or garage sale that I thought he would like I would pick it up and mail it to him. He did the same as well.
We don't "talk" as much anymore. He got married and is busy remodeling a new house. Also puttng in more hours at a new job. So we only drop each other the occasional emails now. But we still stay in touch.
Just like my best friend that I have known for like 30 years now.
He lives 5 blocks away. And we call each other about once a month, and get a chance to hang out about once every 2 or 3 months.
I know if I need him for something, he is there. And the same for him.
Just our lives are really hectic right now.Comment
