This spider jumped on my hand as soon as I took the photo. It wasn't really that big. Only about an inch or two long.

I took a chance and photographed this cheetah through a big hole in a chain link fence at the animal orphanage.

No. I got stares regardless. The stares I got just from walking around is the same kind of stare I receive when I wear my ape makeup in public and do human stuff, like shop for fruit. It's what happens when you are the odd chimp out.

My inlaws are already wondering what the heck my big ape project is about. I was trying to figure that one out. It must have been my announcement about the big ape gathering at the San Diego Comic Con in 2010 that I put on Facebook. That's the thing about Facebook...my inlaws get to see what I am up to, so I have to rethink what I post.

My husband would never forgive me for wearing an ape outfit in Kenya. It always troubles him to see the sparkle in my eyes when I am thinking about donning ape regalia.
