    '66 Batman movie

Man! I'm scanning through my Digital cable guide and see the 1966 Batman movie listed. I scramble to put a tape in the VCR (yes, I still use one!), and it's the first Michael Keaton version. ARRGGHHH! Nothing personal to those who prefer this movie over the cheesy Adam West flick, but it just isn't my bag. And every time the Adam West movie is on, I've missed half of it, or missed it completely. And now I have my hopes dashed yet again.

(ok I'm done venting now, but hey, it's Batman week, right?)

If you search the $5 bin at Wal-Mart, you can still find the DVD copy of the 66 movie. I grabbed mine a year or two ago. It's great viewing.

I see this movie in the cheap DVD bin all the time. Sounds like it's time you pick yourself up a copy. I think I've seen it as low as $4.99.

(edited to add: dang, Crisman beat me to it!)

                Thanks Hulk.

Hmmm...I'm almost sure the title of my thread had the word crap in it. *scratches head* That wasn't edited out, was it? I mean, it's not like I'm swearing or anything.

I edited it because it looks bad and doesn't give any indication of the thread's contents.

(First my apologies for drifting on my own thread)

Anthony, I do think that's a bit much. We're all adults here. I could understand if I were breaking some cardinal rule and swearing, but your reasoning sounds a bit on the controlling side. I did say it was Batman related. And sometimes not putting exactly what the thread is about is a good thing, b/c it sparks the readers' curiosity. This isn't a paper I'm being graded on, it's just a thread on a message board. I think I should be able to express my disappointment among friends on a General topics board, (while staying within the boundaries), and not be censored for something that really wasn't negative in the first place. And if we wanna talk about what looks bad, that gun smilie is a bit much.

(Ok, I now return you to my regularly scheduled thread, already in progress.)

First off, we're NOT all adults here. Children also read these boards.

Using a vague or misleading title to get people to read a thread that they normally wouldn't read is annoying and senseless. You don't get extra points for fooling someone into opening a thread they don't care about.

You're free to express all the disappointment you want within the thread.

Hardy Girl, I think it was the vagueness of your title and not the word crap that got your title altered. Upon my observance, Anthony most always brings down the hammer on these as it seems to be his pet peeve. It's probably the result of his once opening a thread titled "Look" only to find a picture of a kitten wearing a party hat next to some balloons. Nothing sets him off like a cute kitten photo unannounced. Anthony's the sole reason all my posts aren't titled "Yowza!" and "You wont believe your Peepers!"

Oh, and I want to say that it's OK for you to buy a dvd player. Sean Cassady would want you to.

It wasn't that vague...I DID say it was about Batman.

And I don't want a DVD player. My VCRs are just fine. I'm refuse to be a slave to technology. If it ain't broke, don't update it!
