This thread reminded me that I needed to try Five Guys since one opened here within the last year.
Good burger and good overall experience--clean restaurant, friendly and motivated staff and good food.
However, it ain't even close to the same league as In N Out. Same goes for Whataburger.
There's a reason In N' Out is at the top of this list. I've had as good or better burgers at mom n' pop joints, but as for chain burgers, they can't be beat....
And some of the picks on this list are puzzling. Diary Queen? Sure, their soft serve ice cream treats are good but their food is dreadful. Burger King? Blech!Comment

You guys are all wrong. The best Burger joint ever is Peters Drive In right here in Calgary.
The original guy ran it from its start in the sixties till he died last year. He refused to franchise it (despite having tons of cash waved at him on a daily basis), sell it, or do anything that might change the taste of his food. his son runs it now, and he's talking about franchising it, and they may have to move it due to road widening....but the burgers are still phenomenal!!!!!!

It was supposedly first developed as a drink across the river from Buffalo at Crystal Beach amusement park over 100 years ago, so that probably explains how Buffaloians got hooked on the drink (the now defunct park was very popular with visiting Americans back in the day). The drink is popular in this whole area, Crystal Beach (which is just down the road from me) is still well known for it, I'm not a huge fan myself though.
I can take or leave Teds hotdogs, when I think of Buffalo area fast food, I think of Mighty Taco.(don't have one of those in Arizona, do ya Rich?
)
But I ate there at least three times last month while I was visiting!Plus I think I must've mentioned looking into opening one here 6 times. LOL.
Teds is a little pricey to be honest. I've only been to the one out here once in 10 years. Of course being 20 miles away has a little to do with it.
Believe it or not I never went to Crystal Beach amusement park but I did go to the beach next to it after it had closed down. My then fiancee's bikini top fastener popped open unexpectedly and she got a round of applause. For some reason we had to go home after that.
