For me coming out of high school,I wanted to get into advertisement/graphic arts.I had found an ad a in the paper of what I was looking for,and boy that job was a work out.Going door to door selling pizza hut coupons menu's for $19.99 which supposely get you free pizza.I don't remember that company but every city has them. You see them wearing slacks/ties going to residental areas,or businesses.I was a solicitor, and a darn good one but was a bunch of lies. I hated working at at our local famous BBQ place Bill Millers, was a very demanding job but payed good. But like everything its gets old and just went to school,to obtain a better career.

One summer during high school, I caught turkeys which I then had to stuff into cages on a semi truck bound for a local processing plant. We wore big, green waders, insulated flannel shirts and gloves to avoid getting scratched or pecked.

FYI : If you thought turkey barns smelled bad from the road, try being inside of one!

I was a cook at Godfather's Pizza. Crappy hours, smelled like onions all of the time. My wife thinks it's funny when I tell everyone that I was once a "chef".

It's a toss up for me. When I was 16 my second ever job was at a Grand Union mostky collecting carts. A disaster from start to finish! One day I went inside to see what time it was and the manager said to me "I CAN'T BELIEEEVE YOU"RE IN HERE WHEN THERE ARE ALL THOSE CARTS OUTSIDE". Another time there was a stack of stuff on top of the carts and another manager told me I should through the stuff out. I started doing just that only to find the have the manager go nuts because I was throwing out the new magazines!
At the end of High School I worked for Krauser's. "Highlights" of that job included having to be there at 5:00 A.M. Sunday morning to put together newspapers, have someone call and complain because I put an extra piece of bread on their sandwich, a manager wondering why in th world I wouldn't work Christmas day, let alone show up at 6:00 A.M. on it, a guy who would come in every week saying he saw the aliens coming and that they were riding their bikes upside down. The icing of the cake was when after graduating high school I came to work and the new manager asked me why I hadn't come to work Friday. The answer: I was graduationg High School and attending the graduation ball! Of course will all the cool place that have gone away that travesty still stands!
