I was brought up on old movies, but I tell u, I showed some friends my Clark Gable sign the other day, and they didnt have a clue who he was, until I told them, remember a film called "gone with the wind", they kinda of vaguely remembered. Generally actors only get remembered for maybe 1.5 lifespan, and then they go off in obscurity, if your not a film buff. I guarantee youll ask a kid who Nick Cage was in 70 years, they wont have a clue.

Great point guys , Costner was also a disaster. What about Carry Elwes From Men in Tights.......He could reprise his role........ J/K LOL !
In The " Real World " Vampires Do Not Sparkle. They Burn In the Sun !

Errol Flynn owns thaat role. Crowe could be decent, but there are probably better choices.

Gladiator reminded me of Sparticus, which is another must see!

Spartacus is better, but Gladiator was very entertaining.

I've never seen Flynn's classic Hood.

I saw Costner's---I remember thinking it was okay---
pretty much what I expected and ALAN RICKMAN was
                        great as usual.

I liked GLADIATOR---but maybe it was more for the incestuous crazy Joquain
than for anything Crowe did---tho' I don't despise Crowe---he just seems
pretty boring as a leading man.
"No. No no no no no no. You done got me talkin' politics. I didn't wanna'. Like I said y'all, I'm just happy to be alive. I think I'll scoot over here right by this winda', let this beautiful carriage rock me to sleep, and dream about how lucky I am." - Chris Mannix
