When I was a kid my mum went into hospital to have my younger brother, my dad stayed at home and asked me and my other brother what we would like for dinner...we both said "Choc ice and Chips"
so my dad gave us this for dinner but we had to eat the chips quickly before the choc ice melted.
      It wasen't very nice though.

My favorite food as a kid was my mum's Irish Stew,

I'm ashamed to say...McDonalds. Maybe it's cause we hardly ever went there...had to have a birthday or something just to drag the folks there. But most favourite...chocolate. and so it remains to this day.

We always had our own vegetable garden in our backyard.

So I was also a BLT junkie especially with a vine ripened tomato.

Also loved fresh corn on the cob and homemade fries with freshly dug potatos.

My parents also used to purchase a cow and have it butchered which we would eat all year.

My wife always jokes around that we both grew up basically eating organic food but didn't know any difference. It was the kind of stuff people would pay premium dollars for today.

I was coo-coo for the Olive Loaf as a tot, even ate it while in the grocery cart. Now I can't even look at it....

Offhand I would have to say hot dogs/hamburgers from the grill.
Anytime I could get pizza in any form was heaven!

Mom's Grilled cheese sandwiches or Chef Boyardee Pepperoni Pizzas. Those pizzas came 4 in a box and were about the size of a CD. Great stuff. I wish they still made them.
