LOL! Absolutely my friend. Greed drives EVERYTHING for sure. Very cool you're going to see Lepp, we're going on Tuesday!! They are the main reason I lost touch with Michael after "Bad". I am a HUGE Def Leppard fan myself and as much as I loved MJ, Def Leppard takes the cake as my favorite music. But yes, greed always rules in these circumstances. Just like all the crap that came out after John Lennon died. I remember there were even Beatles pencils, erasers and such for sale!!! That's capitalism for you. A shame but I guess that's just how it is...everyone always wants to make a buck before all else unfortunately...

I don't mind them putting stuff out as long as the money goes to the right people.

Yeah but it rarely does Mark, as livingdead alludes to. If his kids were to get the cash or Michael's many charities, that would be fine with me. I have no problem if someone wants to buy a Michael Jackson electric toothbrush or kitchen spatula, so long as the money goes to help other people, as Michael was famous for. That's what should happen but I suspect it won't sadly.

Exactly Lou, that is exactly what Im getting at.
You honestly think, ah whats his dads name, Joe? Is going to put any of that money to anything resourcfull other than his bank account?
Or anyone else for that matter that can cash in on this?
I mean seriously, even here in little ol Augusta GA there are vendors set up everywhere with obviously bootleg t-shirts under a damn tent hawking them.
WHere ya think that money is going ?
I have no problem with swag, I have all kind of Motley Crue, Def Leppard and various other kinds of crap that bands put out. Im not knocking marketing, Im knocking over marketing. Nothing wrong with t-shirts, lighters keychains, posters books etc etc............ But when your overflooding the market soley to capitalize on something such as this, We all know there is going to be umteen million cds released with remixes of his songs done by and featuring an endless array of idiots. And it aint for the children, It aint for the fans, its because they know people will buy it and they will make money.
Hey Lou, you seen any of the vids of Lep on youtube yet from the new tour? They are bringing it strong this time man,,,,,,,,,, I cant wait!!!!!!!!!

LOL! No LD, I am trying to NOT watch any of it until we see the show. I don't want to spoil the surprise although rumor has it they have been HEAVILY favoring the early years this time out with songs from High N' Dry. I have seen them in excess of 20 times since I was a kid and every show was great. They have such a chmeistry after all these years together that is unmatched excpet for maybe The Stones and the other obvious legendary bands. I hope you have a great time at the show!
I don't want to hijack this thread with Def Lepp though so feel free to e-mail me if you want to talk more about the concert. My e-mail is yanalou at aol dot com. :~)
