Indiana Jone 5 confirmed (Please not another)

Forget for a moment that Shia LaBeouf says in a BBC interview, "I get to wake up and shake hands with mermaids and unicorns. I live in a fantasy world."

The real news is what he reveals about a new Indiana Jones film.

The Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen star says, "Steven [Spielberg] just said that he cracked the story on it before I left and I think they're gearing that up."

No title, no release date and probably no script—not to mention whether Harrison Ford will be passing the torch to Shia's Mutt—but the fifth installment of the Indiana Jones franchise is in the works. Woo-hoo! Let's all go shake hands with a unicorn.

Strangely enough, I never cared for Indiana Jones in the first place.

To me, they're all boring ... even the action parts ... hard to explain.

                    Hmmmm....

I didn't mind the last one. Didn't think it was great; but it killed some time. I think the problem with an Indy film is that it's one of them series that have been cloned so many times it's tough to come up with a new take on things, and therefore ANYTHING you do is gonna seem old hat. Part of why the first one was such a big deal is 'cos nobody had done anything like it for almost 40 years.

Agreed. And I don't think the movies were quite as good as our memories of them, overall. But that's pretty much everything isn't it.

I love the Indy films, and characters. This kind of thing is right up my alley entertainment wise, and despite the fact that Mutt seems to be stuck along for the ride, I'm looking forward to more. Raiders was one of the best films ever made in my book. Last Crusade was great too. Didnt care for ToD, but it still has its moments...Same with Crystal Skull...has its moments.
Hopefully the rust has been knocked off this franchise now, and the next one will be more in line with Raiders and Crusade.

I will admit if the next film has a fight to the death duel between Short Round and Mutt, and neither survive, my feelings wont be hurt!

I enjoyed all 4 films actually.

The 4th one was the weakest of the bunch but I didn't have high expectations given what a disaster the Star Wars prequels turned out to be.

Well i love the Indiana Jones movies, all 3 of them.

The 4th one was an imposter pretending to be one.

The 5th one has me angry allready.

I enjoyed them all. They were all farcical to begin with even raiders I mean the ark of the covenant come on!?!?!?
But they were a great ride and fantastic to watch in the theatre.
When I saw raiders and temple I was just a kid and thought they were amazing. As an adult meh not so much.
But you know what I took my seven year old son to the crystal skull and he loved it.
Indy was a new hero to him and I think that is what we forget. The movies are meant as an escape for an hour and a half,That's it.Just a little fun.
A chance to get away from reality.Eat some popcorn and cheer for the good guy.
I don't think they are created to intellectual stimulate you.
I am looking forward to the new one for sure.
                              Indy forever baby,indy forever!!!
