yeah i didn't give her a time,I just let her know I was going that day.It was the 3rd time I had gone so they knew who I was.In fact when I got there the 2nd time she offered me the other ones if some regular of hers didn't want them,so I said ok just let me know.I won the other figure you see there and called her that day before and she said yes I'll sell them to you

I guess she just feels stupid, the funny thing is that they are suppose to be big star Trek collectors there, the other lady was telling me how rare and collectible the Andorian was

I think it's uncool, no offense, your flipping him so fast. If I got that kind of a deal on a Mr. Rock I'd keep him, or help out a fellow collector who might have been looking for one for some time. It's kind of like rubbing it in peoples faces when you do that. I've gotten rare items for great deals over the years and I helped out my collector buddies before I tried to turn a profit.

ABMAC is right, the least you could have done was take your own pics.

And I think you're just full of it. Whatever the reason he's selling this is his business and no one else's. Besides, it's complete with the weapon now. And you mean to tell me that you would actually sell a Mr. Rock way below the market value to a fellow member? *cough* BULLSH.. *cough*
Damien got a great deal on that figure, he managed to find the missing part and now he's selling it and will very likely make a very nice profit. Well, congrats to him I say. I wish I was that lucky.

But you're right about the pics, that's his only mistake

Flipping a rare find is fine. It's the buyer's choice. The only problem I saw was the pics issue and I'm sure that Damien has learned a valuable lesson there. Damien is the kind of guy that if he knew of a friend that did want it or was seaching for one that he'd have made his friend a decent deal.

Thanx Thomas I appreciate the support buddy, yeah i agree i should'nt have used the pics(learned my lesson now).I have asked her if she wants me to try and remove the pics, but have gotten no response.I haven't tried yet, cause I think I would have to close the auction to do so once it has a bid,so I was trying to avoid that

He can do what he wants with it. I just thought it was uncool to try and make a crazy profit from the very same people who help you out with stuff. Meaning this board. I guess collecting to me isn't about how much something is worth, or what I can get for it. I like the community aspects of a little back scratching.

It would be like for instance, say Bill is looking for an Iron Man, and Bill's good friend Bob finds one for $10.00. He tells his buddy Bill..hey I just found an Iron Man for $10..I know you wanted one, and I don't care for him. If you want him he's up on Ebay ..good luck buddy.

yeah man I would have no problem doing that with a $10 figure,in fact I've helped many members here find what they need, you know the rarity of this figure, that's like finding an Iron man carded for $100,would you hook you friend up knowing it's sold for $10,000 before? cause if you do you know it's Bull crap, and if you do let us see what items you've won on ebay lately cause maybe you could hook some of us up

With the exception of the pics I don't see too much wrong here. Yeah I might have waited a bit before I threw it on Ebay but you have your own reasons and priorities.

I do find it kind of funny that you have a reserve on these auctions when you got them for pennies.

Well then knowing the rarity of this figure I wouldn't have been so public about winning and selling it.

If I won a carded IM for $100 and didn't plan on keeping it I sure has heck wouldn't have made topics about how great a score I made.

yeah I put the reserve of what I think it's worth to me,if it doesn't reach that. Then I think it's worth me keeping,I was really hoping to keep the Andorian so if it doesn't sell then I'll keep him and probably sell my Star Wars set instead

Well damn man..Keep the Rock and Ando and sell the SWs. You'll probably NEVER find a Mr. Rock like that again......ever...even if you have the cash. The Ando is tough but doable. But SWs are a dime a dozen. None of it's really rare, just expensive.

You HAVE to keep Mr. Rock. I'm telling you, you'll regret it forever if you sell him.

Rare and Expensive get mixed up too often. A lot of items that are considered "Rare" are only really "Expensive". They are out there, just pricey.

Mr. Rock is rarer than hens teeth. And even if you slapped 10 grand on a table you still might not get one. And on his card..are you kidding me!! Do you know how cool he's gonna look with a complete Trek set?? He's practically irreplaceable! If you keep SWs and sell Mr. Rock I'll send the Ultimate Warrior over to your house and gorilla Press you through the roof. And then the Iron Sheik to suplex you, break your back and make you humble.

                          LOL! Humble huh?

no I understand what you're saying man, trust me I know. But the Star Wars set will probably bring me $1000 or $1500 if I'm lucky,I still don't know exactly how much I'm going to need right now

There has gotta be something important going on for you to have to sell him, I know the feeling. Something blessed you with that auction.

I hope it turns out well, and we know the auction will do well. No doubt there is an army of snipers with their sites on him.

That would be my advice too, but if you really need the cash you gotta do what you gotta do of course.
Before you sell it tho take a pic of yourself with the figure, complete with weapon. That way you'll always have proof that at one time you owned a carded, complete Mr. Rock
