I was twelve when street fighter 2 came out so it's old for me, i'm far from being a kid...I'm an old *** 29 year old
A decade younger and you'd still be a teenager.
"No. No no no no no no. You done got me talkin' politics. I didn't wanna'. Like I said y'all, I'm just happy to be alive. I think I'll scoot over here right by this winda', let this beautiful carriage rock me to sleep, and dream about how lucky I am." - Chris Mannix
If you give me a Playstation or Xbox...I will quickly donate it to a kid.
Besides...my Galaga is a collector's item...
You are missing out on one thing then. I basically turned my Playstation 2 in classic home arcade. They have plenty of compilations of classic games which through today's technology are the exact games that were in the arcade. I also bought the single player of version of this X-Arcade Dual Arcade Joystick, Relive Thousands Of Arcade Classics! as well as a trackball they made.
Some of the classics made available are Ms. Pac-Man, Dig Dug, Defender, Joust, Centipede, Asteroids, Crsytal Castles Space Invaders, Galaga, Pole Position, Jungle Hunt, Bubble Bobble, Galaxaian, Zoo Keeper, Rampage
Paperboy, and many, many more. The other cool thing about the compilations is there are old games you may have never tried before or only played a few times.
Old School is playing electric football! We still have electric football city leagues, conventions, custom painting competitions, an annual Superbowl (we rotate the U.S. hosting city every year) and get this Hector.... our Bay Area league games were played at Ricky's Sport Bar in San Leandro. I spent many a night there playing, drinking.... oh, those were the days.... Nice Galaga game though, congrats.

My nephew has all those on his Playstation too.
It's just not the same...that lacks nostalgia...doesn't take you back in time...you need that old school stand up feeling...the feel of the machine...the smell, the look, etc...when I play with my arcade machine...I'm transported back to the 80s...lol.
Same applies to Megos...that's why I collect them...and not modern toys.
