I suspect at least a portion of the list is mandated by whatever "stars" or celebrities they can book to chat. It always seems odd to me that the celebrity parts just fall right into place every 3 or 4 spots. They'll do 2 quick ones with clips, the celeb bit, commercial, repeat.
Or what DVD line the company may have an interest in pushing and how they want to push it. Which would explain why YADA was #1 from an NBC show on a list shown on NBC. And that line in particular over how many Seinfeld phrases such as "Master of your Domain", or "They're real & they're spectacular", even the " No Soup" which was farther up the list. ? Because YADA was kinda the summation statement for the entire Seinfeld series.
Of the 50 shows, almost a third were NBC series, and Laugh-In, SNL, Seinfeld, Friends, & Sanford repeated appearances on the list.Last edited by johnnystorm; May 29, '09, 7:18 AM.Comment

There's gotta be a firm line drawn between "funniest" phrases
and "most iconic" phrases...I think that's a major issue in decision making here."No. No no no no no no. You done got me talkin' politics. I didn't wanna'. Like I said y'all, I'm just happy to be alive. I think I'll scoot over here right by this winda', let this beautiful carriage rock me to sleep, and dream about how lucky I am." - Chris MannixComment
