Discovered Trek in 1975 through the animated show and loved it ever since. When I started to love Star Trek, I had a vague memory of a commercial for action figures that could be for Star Trek and thought that Trek figures could be out there (as a matter of fact, this was the commercial I saw)

YouTube - Vintage Mego Star Trek Action Figure Collection TV Commercial 70's

But I wasn't sure there were Star Trek figures out there until we got the 1975 Sears catalog. This small little half page black and white spread for the Mego Trek figures and Enterprise playset nearly sent me through the roof when I first saw it.

So my first Megos were Kirk, Spock and McCoy in 1975 and although I am interested in WGSH, to me, Mego means, first and foremost, Star Trek.

Lo there do I see my Father.
Lo there do I see my Mother and my Sisters and my Brothers.
Lo there do I see the line of my people back to the begining.
          Lo they do call me.
They bid me take my place among them.

Anyone do a currency conversion/inflation adjustment? I think $25.00 for the set then is probably like $100.00 today.

I loved the bridge figures as a kid---had 'em all----
still can't justify displaying them in limited space scenario---
but dang if I don't want to (and dang if I don't wanna add
some key EMCE's to 'em too!) #29
