Best - U2 ZOOTV in Tampa Stadium, The Ramones at the Armory, Public Image Limited at Jannus Landing (Johnny Rotten mooned us and capped off a string of moonings from him, the guy from the Damned and Mojo Nixon)

Worst, got dragged to Tears for Fears...uggh. Worst for my sister... Andy Gibb at the Illinois State Fair- He was so drunk he fell off the stage. Actually that might be one of my best.

Best- Metallica and Aerosmith coheadlining at the CNE in Toronto in 1989.

Worst- Rolling Stones at the Skydome in Toronto during their Steel Wheels tour (1989?). They put on a good show, but the sound was absolutely terrible, because the place wasn't finished being built yet so all the accoustic materials weren't completely installed yet. It was like listening to a concert underwater or something.

Best Concert EVER -- Ted Nugent in 1978

Worst ever Styxx in the Astrodome during the Texxas Jam '83 doing Mr. Roboto -- They were actually boo'd.
Don't be sorry. How would you know? You've been watching MTV all your life.

The best so far for me was Van Halen 10/08 at the ACC.
The one I enjoyed the least was the "new" Prince with his new songs, I think also at the ACC a few years ago. (went at the request of my wife) That should say enough.

Best - Weird Al. The man did like 20 costume changes and really pumped alot of energy into his show.

ZZ top also does a great show

I dont think I ever had a bad concert
Lo there do I see my Father.
Lo there do I see my Mother and my Sisters and my Brothers.
Lo there do I see the line of my people back to the begining.
            Lo they do call me.
They bid me take my place among them.

Best show was one I got paid for. 2 hours on stage with Ozzy at Ozzfest. Got to work with his guys doing security. My chest was pounding two hours after the show. Worst was Foreigner. Huge fan and they were just off. Joe Walsh opened for them and he was so much better. He only has like three songs and some Eagles stuff and he was still better. They sounded nothing like the live album they put out years later. More like to deaf cats in heat scratching claws on a chalkboard. Maybe it was just a bad day. As I'm writing this just scored some comp tix to see Huey Lewis and the News on June 10th at the MGM theatre at Foxwoods. Woo Hoo. Fourth time for them, one of my faves and the first concert I went to with my wife when we were dating.

Best - ZZ Top in Memphis. It was a religious experience.

Worst - Iron Maiden in Atlanta. I swear, you'd think they would have a sound guy that wasn't deaf.

Best - Pogues with the wife in Atlanta this year; finally we agree on music
Worst - Head of David at the old 9:30, 90-91. The first and only time I ever sat at the bar at that club.

The Best - Metallica at William's Grove Speedway (literally across the street from where I grew up!) Mechanicsburg PA in June of 1994 - Over 100 degrees and no shade, sweating like crazy but it didn't matter. Suicidal Tendencies (missed 'em, meh) and Danzig opened, then James & the guys came in by helicopter and did an awesome set! Loved it!

Worst - Red Hot Chili Peppers in OKC (disappointing... they barely broke a sweat and just didn't seem all that into it)

Best - Devo in Tulsa in 1983

Best concert I ever went to was Alice Cooper about 5 years ago. My wife, my brother and I were in the very front by the barricade. What a great show. My wife's first and last rock concert.

Worst concert was Alan Jackson roughly 5 years ago. Alan Jackson wasn't bad as a performer, but the "V.I.P." seats we had ended up being the bleachers. That was a big letdown. I went to see Alan Jackson because my wife had gone to see Alice Cooper with me. Alan Jackson was my first and last country concert.

"I prefer to remain an enigma."

Worst - Beach Boys '80 ... It wasn't that bad, just a little boring.

Boring?? you saw the Beach Boys with complete original lineup and it was boring? I had a 20 year run of seeing them in concert, stopped when it became 2 of them singing less and less

I guess I can appreciate it a lot more now (having been one of the last people to see the original line-up), but at the time I was 15 years old and in high school.
I could have named 1000 bands I would have rather seen (at that time)

Best show was probably Stevie Ray Vaughan. Saw him many times over the years but that first time was in a small club, up close, loud, awesome. When he started playing Voodoo Chile, he was chanelling Hendirx. Amazing stuff.

Worse had to be Golden Earring. Had tickets for Styx/Aerosmith but Styx couldn't show because someone was sick, so Golden Earring filled in. They were awful - out of tune, lousy vocals, only one song you had ever heard of. Thank God Steven Tyler and the boys came out and kicked ***, saving the evening.
