I think there are laws that are being worked out here in the U.S.A. as well. Long over due in my opinion. It will be most interesting to see this enforced. There is no way in heck that the law will be able to catch everyone abusing this which is very unfortunate for the innocent people paying the price of the idiots doing this stuff.

Couple of months ago our newspaper ran a story about what truck drivers actually do behiond the steering wheel after a number of bad accidents had happened involving trucks. The story had plenty of pics of truck drivers reading the newspaper, eating and drinking, with their feet up on the steering wheel, ... you name it. But this one takes the cake tho, this was filmed on a Belgian highway, Romanian truck driver

Why is it that Truck Drivers have been able to talk on CB's for decades without such consequences? Keep your damn eyes on the road ahead!

It's already illegal here in the UK but the cops do nothing about it, unless you hurt or kill someone.
If you're in an accident they check your phone to see if you were using it at the time, or just before.

Not in FLA, this state can ban gay marriage(big fat waste of time and the Gov't should not be legislating morality) but do nothing about the idiot cell phone culture, they might as well make it ok to drink and drive here.
