the rule about no inanimate objects really put a stranglehold on this for me. To me, when i pick something for this list it has to immediately scream: "70's" to me or it doesn't fit the icon status.
I mean who wouldn't pick bellbottoms or disco for that list otherwise?
I couldn't really come up with 10 that screamed 70's to me but I think the few I listed here do fill the bill.
