Top 10 Icons of the 70s

I've been thinking about this for a while.....what icons do you think identify the 70s? Can be characters or celebrities but not inanimate objects (i.e. no bell bottoms or platforms shoes). Sort of like if you had to pick 10 to lock in a time capsule to define the era...

For me (in no particular order, except maybe #1):

    1. Farrah Fawcett-Majors
    2. Darth Vader
    3. The Fonz
    4. KISS
    5. Jaws
    6. David Cassidy
    7. Archie Bunker
    8. Scooby Doo
    9. The Super-Friends
    10. Bruce Lee

Be ready to defend your choices!

^ If I had to swap anything out and replace it, the replacement would be Planet of the Apes and not the Dukes

Even though I bumped them for Elvis, in defense of The Super Friends....they pretty much defined what most people "on the street" automatically think of when you say DC Super-Heroes or Justice League: Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Robin.

(even though the JLA part is inaccurate with Robin)

And even though it's actually a negative thing, it enforced in people's minds the "lameness" of Aquaman.

Not in the top ten, but worth a mention:

                          Charo

She seemed to be everywhere in the 70s, probably because you couldn't help but notice her.

I'm not sure who was more popular in the 70s: KISS or the BEE GEES. I want to say KISS but my stomach tells me that the BEE GEES were more popular. The Brothers Gibb were everywhere not only writing their own hits but also writing & producing hits for many other artists, movies and soundtracks: (i.e. Grease & Saturday Night Fever).
